Hi I've been out and about today and not near a computer. I am also moving cross country tomorrow but once I'm settled I will see if I can tinker with group settings.

In the meantime pms please and I will add you :)

Oh yay! I was about to do a post about fitbits, but this has helped me. I am wanting to buy a Flex, which will apparently be released in Australia in 3 weeks. I've lost a couple of pedometers in the past, which is why I like the idea of wearing it on my wrist. I do cycle a fair bit too (transport, not lycra-style) and wonder if I put it on my ankle it would pick up "steps" from cycling?
I'll email you Umleila as soon as I've got my fitbit - thanks for setting up this group.

If it fits on your ankle, it will track your cycling but might not be as accurate. I have clipped mine to a sock or shoe before when biking or using my mini bike peddle thing. It makes me nervous that I'll lose it outside on my sock, so I prefer a pants pocket.

I have heard that the numbers are a little too high when you put it on your foot since it was designed to be worn on your torso. But, if you bike and leave it on your torso, it doesn't pick up much of anything.

Hello everyone. It's been a hectic two days of moving to Manchester. Hectic but with very little movement in terms of very active steps especially yesterday. I can see from the leader board I am ranked number 7 at the mo which is spurring me on.

We have moved opposite a big park and we walked around it a bit today. I think it will help improve my steps.

If anyone else wants to join, please pm me and I will add you ASAP :)

I'm back to work today after 2 weeks of vacation, although I ran 3 miles and walked 1 mile before work this morning, I see that I'm falling behind ranked # 4 in steps. Last week in addition to the morning workout we did some hikes...ah it was great to be on vacation...but it feels nice to get back to work. The good thing is that I don't think I gained weight. I need to see what happens in a couple of days since with this WOL the weight fluctuates a lot, but it seems that even if I gained it would be less than a pound :victory:

Well, it has been raining most of the day here. Looks like I will have to walk in circles around the dining room table. lol I guess I should get out my Leslie Sansone videos.

Woohoo! Made all my targets today after days of not being able to. It makes me feel so good :)

How is everyone else doing?

43tweaker I spend many days going around my house in circles and I've been known to dance doing the dishes to get all my steps in too :)

My Fitbit will not sync!!! I haven't been able to get my data in for two days. I am sure I will move to the bottom of the boards until I can figure out why my data won't upload. I tried my husband's laptop when mine wouldn't work. So, I know my computer isn't the problem. grrrr.

Hi 43tweaker. This happens on occasion. You have to "totally" close down your Fitbit software and then relaunch it. I think there are instructions on the fitbit forums. I can tell you how to do it on an ipad, but your computer might be a little different.

Any luck with the syncing? Ive had trouble with my app before but never on mynlaptop. I hope it gets sorted soon.

Thanks, ladies. I did get it to sync finally. I had to uninstall Fitbit Connect and then reinstall it. After that I did what the instructions called a forced manual sync. Now, it is all set. :like:
