Good morning Debbie and other fitbiters :) That is weird! Five pounds is a massive amount to lose in a week and now another pound. It's great though well done :like:

You are doing so much exercise. It's not surprising really. I think my time being second on the board was fleeting, but it still felt good.

Here's to a good 5:2 fitbit day :)

Since using a fitbit I've been finding it much easier to maintain my weight. It is really useful knowing how many calories I've used in a day. I haven't changed my exercise routing since getting it and I'm pleased to be in third or second on the leaderboard doing what I do normally. I haven't got time to do a lot more exercise and what I do seems to be enough to keep my weight stable. I bought a cheaper activity monitor for my boyfriend and it isn't nearly as good as the fitbit:(

I like knowing my calorie burn in a day too. I'm not sure if it is a hundred percent accurate but i find it to be more so than the tdee calculators because it actually uses my activity and I dont have to guess my levels.

I've seen the zip going for just ov forty pounds on ebay now. Perhaps you could get one for your boyfriend. I got the nike fuel band for my husbnd because he didn't want anything that clipped to his trousers and didn't like the fact that the flex doesn't have a display.

He's coming to the UK on Saturday and will start wearing it shortly afterwards no doubt. It will be interesting to see what he thinks of it.

I had a very lazy day yesterday and only managed 5800 steps, which is really not going to help my weekly average.
There are some very active people in our group!

Just had a major panic as my Fitbit was not clipped to my bra where it usually was. Having spent the afternoon in the garden cutting laurel hedges, loading my trailer then taking it to the tip, then going shopping later, I had no hope of finding it. Fortunately it fell off in the car  It is very addictive and I would hate to lose it so will pay more attention in future...

Phew thank goodness you found it, but think of all those uncounted steps! I get flustered if I go a few steps without it on nevermind hours on end. I'd be gutted.

Two new members today. That's twelve so far :like:

Annscotslass has come in and knocked us down a place or two anyway. Hello and thanks for shaking things up a bit. Hi to philT too :)

In my opinion It's not necessarily important "where" we rank in the group. Hard for walkers to compete with runners. What is important it to "be active" everyday, set some personal goals and stick to them.

I agree golinda. I was having a bit of fun! I've stated here before that personal goals are the most important to me too, but I find it encouraging to see how others are doing and I am happy for them and their progress :)

I like being part of the fitbit group. It pushes me to do more. It is intersting... I have a long work day which is not very active physically, although I do try to get up of my chair and I never use lifts I will never get the activity level of a dog walker. I wake up at 5:30 and do a morning workout and after work I'm usually so tired but with the fitbit and the group I find myself more energetic in the evening and I walk more around the house, climb the stairs with every excuse... Don't ask my OH to bring me stuff and actually volunteer to bring stuff to him... Susan I would have a panic attack too if I would lose it....

Rain, rain go away. Fitbit and I need to walk today! ;)

I think maybe it will have to be Wii Zumba or Just Dance today. Maybe that will boost my "very active minutes."

Einatlbl..I even wear mine to bed so I don't miss nighttime steps to the bathroom.

Just noticed I have 45 flights of stairs from my hills today...drat, now I will have to walk up and down the stairs 5 more times before bedtime!

I notice that Annscotslass has been very quiet on this forum, hardly surprising given the number of steps she does a day, whereas I seem to find too much time to sit down and type
