I'm in today, last fast before first weigh-in in 4? weeks. I really don't know what the scales will tell me...
I've just come inside for first fruit tea of the day (cinnamon and orange, my favourite) after a couple of hours in the garden. It is still a beautiful morning here, but I know things will warm up soon and the rest of the week is going to be quite a shock for us Melbournites! Even worse in Adelaide, and I am a bit worried about my elderly parents who don't manage the heat well.
But still preferable to the terrible weather being experienced in parts of the Northern Hemisphere :(
Successful fasting everyone! :D
Hi all,
I am fasting today too! Third fast (this time around). I was struggling big time earlier (around 9am), but I stuck it out and it's now about 11.20am, and feeling a bit better...although I think today is just going to be a hungry day! But I get to have a yoghurt at 12, so things are looking up.
Lucy
I'm in -when i have been to bed. See you all in the morning
I'm in Adelaide so we've got 5 straight days of 40+ weather ahead of us. But as some of you have said above, it is definitely easier to fast in hot weather. I just had a long black served on ice haha! About to eat my first meal of a boiled egg, veggie sticks and cottage cheese. Can't wait! And can't believe the thought of cottage cheese and celery sticks is making my mouth water. This 5:2 thing certainly makes you appreciate food more!

Good luck with the rest of the day. Hope those in the southern hemisphere keep cool and those in the northern hemisphere rug up. Must say, I prefer the heat :)
I'm going to Adelaide today for the week! I picked a bad time didn't I?! I would rather be at Home outside Hobart I must admit, I hate the heat!!! Does make it easier not to eat though!

Can you recommend anywhere nice to eat?
Joining you all in the Monday fast. Could do with a little Southern hemisphere heat up here in Canada but not really sure I could stand it :) Looking forward to a good day tomorrow - even looking forward to my egg and orange breakfast and my lean pork and veggie supper. All the best to everyone!
Nickers, iced green tea is popular in Okinawa. I got pretty hooked this summer.

I'm in today. Still trying to get rid of the holiday gain. It's steadily going down, slowly but steadily.
Third fasting day today, going OK. Had a slight headache before lunch but seems to have gone. Good luck everyone.
Yes, I'm here.
I've done my laps, visited my mother, now having a fruit tea.
I'm also battling with the Christmas and visitors weight gain. So far have lost .8kg so just need to keep on.
I'll enjoy my stir fry veges and fruit tonight!
Have a good day everyone, try to keep cool( down under) or warm( up north)!
Debs whereabouts in Adelaide are you staying? Gouger Street in the city is great for Asian food of all kinds, especially Sushi Train and Ying Chow (chinese), Star of Siam (Thai) and British India are favourites. The Central Market (located between Gouger and Grote Streets) is open Thursday, Friday and Saturday which is well worth a look too. Otherwise La Trattoria on King William St is great for classic Italian, as is Parlamento on North Terrace opposite the casino. Or you could catch the tram from the city to Glenelg beach where there are loads of restaurants and cafes. And a beach, obviously :) Damn it. Food. Mmmm. Food. Thank goodness tomorrow isn't too far off now :)
I'm in for Monday. Going back to work after semester break. Looking forward to lean steak & a big Salad for dinner, lots of water, tea & coffee the rest of the day. Good luck to all of you. Some may be done already by the tme mine gets going. Happy fasting all :)
Not in today (did yesterday sort of) just dropping in to say hello and wish you all luck. Anything above 32C is too hot and anything below 13C is too cold so it's only looking good in Tasmania for me! :) :) :)
Keep cool/warm and in good spirits folks. It's only for today remember and you can have it tomorrow - I can't cos I'll be fasting
and good luck for weigh ins/new fasters and any changes in what you usually do. :clover:
I'll be in tomorrow, and currently feeling guilty for snacking this evening. So looking forward to fasting.

I had to convert 47 degrees C, because it seemed impossible. Now that I know it's 117 F, it still seems impossible. @Debs, don't you work outside? I feel faint thinking about you!
I am in today. It is the start of my 2nd week and feeling really good. Did come down this morning to find my husband had already put milk in my tea which was a bit annoying as fast days I have a 50ml allowance of milk for my tea (he for some strange reason thought I was fasting tomorrow) Nevermind will do myself a 40ml allowance to compensate as he always put more milk in my tea than I do.
Good morning! I'm in today, and it's certainly not hot here in Surrey, UK!
Hope you all have a good day :)
