I've found myself clock-watching fo the first time in a while. In the last few months I've been having tea with milk on fast days, but decided to go strict today after an appalling eating day yesterday, and to my surprise am noticing it! Roll on 5.15pm (I'm eating early as I'm going out, normally would aim for 6pm or later)...
Hope all of you in Australia coped with the heat. I love the warmth, but there are limits!
Today is my first fast ever. Going surprisingly well, but I'm quite hungry now and can't eat more, so I think I'll have to go for a walk or somethink. See that some of you have done your fast in 40C. I'm doing mine in -18C, so I'm quite cold :p
Oooh I forgot so say I'm in today. Gone well, no thoughts of food, no hunger pangs, no rumbles! That's the kind of fast I like. No doubt Thursdays will be a b&tch!!
Hi fantastic fasters :blowkiss: . I'm in. Hope you're all having an easy fast. I did it up big time at my Golden Globes party last night (will not torture us all with a recap of that menu :pizza: :booze:) and am fairing well on my fast day. (It's not yet noon here so I shouldn't get too exuberant.)

Getting hair done later so that should kill a few hours.
Stay hydrated! (That's a note mostly to myself  )
:starving: Its my first day of fasting.. Its barely 1 deg C. The image of hot veg soup is wavering on my mind!!! its really unbelievable how the mind can always be on food on a fasting day... Need more self control!!!! waiting for the day to be over.... Wish me luck !!
I slipped up, very slightly, and ate 4 haribo before I caught myself. Not the end of the world but a pain as I’ve estimated that’s 50 calories - which takes my supper allowance down from 300 to 250  REALLY struggling today on my first fast in ages and ages. I tried last week and didn’t manage one. When I was on this regularly and in the rhythm I found them fairly easy.
Hey guys, I'm fasting too today, it was my first fast day ever too and so far it's going fairly well (besides the fact I'm craving sweets like crazy!). I'm trying to have kind of regular meals but at really low caloric value. Hoping to follow through and see some results on the scale
I'm in today, 3rd fast day. But gnawing my fingers off. Trying to keep busy.
Well done everyone, great to read we're doing well and battling through the stuggles! I had some hunger this morning, then on our lunch break I took myself out for a walk to the shops then came back for a 1/2 Oxo. Just had a nice omelette with prawns and cheese and rice... think i may be slightly over 500 but think my recommended amount is less than that so hope i'm okay?!
Strange to think of you guys in crazy heat, i was in my coat and gloves in class today :( x
Boots have got new sushi meals so I had sweet chili chicken rice salad for lunch and will be having sushi 12 piece selection for dinner very shortly. Delicious and easily within 500 calories. Plus lots of peppermint tea and black coffee ! Haven't looked at the scales for a while but clothes fitting better so feeling good.
I've done pretty well today, I don't eat at all during the day and then I came home and my mum had made some tea - finally a fast-day friendly meal for me..a sliver of cottage pie bulked out with loads of vegetables! Was delicious.

Starving now though...most likely because I ate too early. Going to get a lemon and ginger tea and take the dog round the block
Another fast day almost done, nothing but a couple of mugs of Chicken Bovril through the day, then a dinner of Roast chicken some gravy and a huge mound of mixed veg. A Muller light thingy for pudding and enough calories left for my Options hot chocolate at bedtime.
I had a good brisk 2 hour walk with my OH this morning and happily we managed to dodge the hail showers
Good fast day for me. On my Monday fast I have to share a Rich Tea biscuit with my Nurture Group but luckily that is not too many calories to have to give up. Had a cheese and courgette omelette with lots of salad and saved enough calories for a square of Lindt 85% chocolate later. Good luck to those in USA who may only just be getting started. Forgot to add that I've been for a run today too as I'm signed up for Jantastic and committed to 3 runs a week. :)
Been fasting today too ( mon. & thu. are my normal Fast Days ) . Had chicken and ratatouille and lots of steamed veg . at 6pm . . . . . . . have since "rewarded" myself with a square of dark chocolate . . . . . roll on Tuesday !
Weather here in the west coast of Scotland is dull and miserable and chilly too. Can't wait for brighter days and milder weather ; today I didn't venture out as it was so wet . ( however pouring over a newly- acquired recipe book probably wasn't a good idea on a Fast Day !!! )

Yes I am one of those who positively thrives on cooler temperatures. It's not so cold where I am that you can't be outside without getting frostbite, but I do like a good brisk walk which is just impossible in sweltering heat.

Another fast day nearly done, hubby's out climbing tonight so just cleaned out the fridge with a leftover half tin of chickpeas in some leftover homemade tomato pasta sauce with shredded savoy cabbage and a dollop of harissa paste and 1 rasher of farm shop bacon over the top. Yum - no idea on calorie count but the only other thing I've had today was a rich tea biscuit at about 3.30 when I was starting to feel a bit light headed and strange. A spoonful or 2 of mango & vanilla yogurt has finished off my day.

I ate a huge amount over the weekend - home made pizza, venison casserole and a veritable mountain of fish & chips last night so my scales told me this morning that I had put back on the 3lb I felt so smug about losing last week. Oh well, it was kind of worth it!!
