I'm going to a Game of Thrones finale viewing party tonight (a day late - no spoilers from anyone who watches!) so I am trying to not eat anything until then so I can feel a bit normal :) Just had a cup of Skinny Choco Latte tea. Not bad, and helps put something in my stomach without any calories!

Looking forward to tomorrow already - going to a nice dinner out with my boyfriend and parents as part of a Father's Day gift - yay!

I'm more jealouser  Game of throooooooooooooones :victory: love love LOVE it!

Anyhoo, I'm done for the day! And it's my first Monday fast for ages so I'm particularly chuffed! I started playing switcheroo with my fasting days and it just doesn't work for me; I need to keep to the same days... It was surprisingly easy today, why can't every fast be like this?!

Hope everyone else fasting well :clover:
I'm in today, early here (w U.S.), only 10am. Had my coffee, having tea, typically will have broth later and a light late lunch (4ish), since I have dinner 9ish.

I too had trouble sleeping last night; something in the air I guess! Woke up in the wee hours, finally got back to sleep. Forget who said "fruit" to tide her over; I also recommend not to eat "naked" fruit on fast days, as it passes through your system too fast and doesn't satiate. When I feel the need for a little sweetness on a fast day, I do a PLAIN fat free Greek yogurt with berries, maybe a tiny drizzle of agave. The protein in the yogurt helps satiety...and if I have enough calories left, I sometimes add a sprinkle (tbsp or two) of Grape-Nuts for crunchiness! I currently have local strawberries (MUCH better than those shipped in from California) in the fridge and am looking forward to those....later, all!
Yay, @debs! Hope that this might finally be an answer for you, well done!

And , @MLCDz, parents can be such tricky creatures! Hope things stay on the right footing for you both. And well done for taking your own side, that's huge!
Back from work - wow this is a busy thread today

@Wineoclock hope you don't catch it! And DS is feeling some relief.
@Jools17 - I'll give the spicy yoghurt, spinach and lentil soup a go this weekend and share.

@Sallyo I love French onion soup but not in a certain restaurant in NY - it was a bowl full of heart attack, I had to send it back  what is your calorie counting book, don't do that normally but loved Caroline's nutrition article this weekend. Very helpful for peeps like me.

Pret UK have cottoned on to low carb and this is what I had for lunch today and over the last month on fast days

A really nice fast day lunch - upon which I can rely - bit of yog and berries in the eve - tea and bed :sleepy: Hope that helps.
well its that time of the evening where i start to struggle, get stomach ache from being hungry and start feeling low and snappy. does everyone feel like this or does it subside after a while of being on the diet? my first few fasts were horrible and i was horrible to go with it! im finding now that i dont even get hungry till dinner time and its not too bad through the afternoon but come 8pm it hits me like a ten ton truck
Hi fatty2fitty i usually try to eat most of my cals for dinner usually around 6pm so i'm not hungry in the evening. I can take feeling peckish in the day when i'm busy but not in the evening when i'm relaxing.
Today when i'd finished work i started stripping wallpaper which kept me out of mischief (and the kitchen) although i only advocate doing this if you're actually planning on re-decorating
I don't get snappy @fatty2fitty but this time of the day is where I struggle the most lately. It's a bit too early to go to bed so just got to keep telling myself I can have it tomorrow. I have most of my cals for dinner about 8pm so I'm not hungry, I just want to eat. I've really got to do it this week, I'm so close to my lowest again. I've saved 40cals for a hot choc later. I'm sure what you're feeling will get easier as your body gets used to fasting. Stick with it and have an early night :)
Oh Chichi @chichi13 is Game of Thrones any good? I'm thinking of getting it on DVD

Bean

Enjoy your party

It's brilliant.... I binge watched the first 2 seasons back to back  (please nobody judge; I'm allowed to do this cos I'm an introvert and that's what we do to restore our energy  ) it gets better each season as well; surprisingly!!

That's a good idea. I find I tend to just want to go to bed early so I can wake up and have new day (of eating!) but on fast days I rarely am tired early. I also find that once I start eating, I just get hungrier, so saving my meals for the evenings sounds like something for me to try!
Ps sorry i meant to say@swissmiss! Not missus
