I'm in. Did weights at gym this morning, so had 15 almonds afterwards for the protein to help my muscles repair/build. That's the theory anyway! First time doing weights on a fast day, so monitoring how it goes, I've always been fine hiking, skating, cycling and walking, so not expecting it be an issue. Just tea and water now until tomorrow - although @sallyo mentioning soup has made me think that maybe I should have a veggie soup for dinner. Think I'll still have enough calories for that after the almonds and a bit of milk allowance for tea.
I'm in too today. Will wait until tonight and have a light meal. Cups of tea and water until then.
Sallyo, so sorry to hear about your mum. Even when we know it is happening, losing the ones we love is shocking and heart wrenching. I was with my dearest MinLaw when she passed earlier this year, felt her heart stop under my hand; tears. She was almost 90 and I miss her...
Definitely be kind to yourself today, gentleness is needed.
@wineoclock Thanks. I'm doing ok. I have my list of jobs and I'm just methodically working through them. About to go on a little walk to the shop. It all feels weird and odd. I haven't cried much and I don't know if I'm even sad. I guess it hasn't sunk in yet. I think a walk, getting out of the house but not doing anything demanding, will be good.
Funny sort of feeling isn't it @Sallyo. When a person reaches that age and are unwell it's sort of sad but sort of isn't. I felt like that with my 97 year old grandfather, it was time for him to go and rest. Enjoy your walk
I'm in today too, am having a miso soup as am finding fasting a little more challenging of late. Am already looking forward to dinner.... Am fasting because I did have a few treats over the weekend, so do want to shift the corresponding weight increase...

Thinking of you, Sallyo, look after yourself.
I am in today. 3rd fast this week as I am again stalled in the weight loss department. I haven't been particularly bad on non-fast days so not sure why.
It's a holiday here in Canada (Victoria Day) so going to occupy my time in the garden.
Hope you all have an easy fast day. :clover: :like:
I'm in - tea, miso soup, cabbage pasta and pesto.
I´m in too. At last, summer is here! :D I came with my motorbike to work and it felt so good... A chicken salad for lunch, nothing else for me today. Then I do my jogging in the evening. I like to run on fast days, it´s somehow easier then.

Have nice day all!
Help, the chocolate in the fridge is calling me, must ignore it. :curse:
Count me in today too. after a lovely weekend in the sun and letting my hair down on the food/ alcohol looking forward to good fast.

Happy fasting everyone
In for my usual Monday repair/fast day.
Didn't go too crazy this weekend so hoping for a friendly view on the scales.
Step away from the fridge @wineoclock and put some distance between you and it!
Fasting today, black coffee and water all day then vegetable frittata this evening.
Thinking of you Sally, go gently for now.
Hello everyone. I'm back after too long and looking forward to a fast today.
We have had two funerals last week (one family) and also my husband was in a car crash (not his fault, and he is home and ok now,) but on the day of the family funeral, it was such a lot to bear. Fasting was not on my agenda.

Sallyo, I'm so sorry to read your news and send you my deepest sympathies.
I'm in today for the first of the week- hoping for another loss this week, had about a 3lb loss last week doing low carb so I'm going to try that again this week. Happy fasting all :)
