Fasting today Monday 22nd July
21 Jul 2013, 20:31
Fasting today after a rather rocky week last week. Hoping to get back on track with an easy straightforward fast today. Who else is in today? Just watching a rather gloomy sunrise from my window.
Hope it goes well for you today Byoung. My normal much needed Monday fast after a big weekend. No wonder I've plateaued for ever. Think it will be sunny but it's bitterly cold outside.
Me too. Cooler (!) here in Blighty, grey after all that blue sky, and storms promised for mid-week, haha! Let's hope our fasts this week don't hit stormy weather

But you are in the Blue Mountains. It may be cold but it must be beautiful living there.

To be honest all my difficulties with fasting are in my head. It's not that I get unbearably hungry- I just worry about getting unbearably hungry. I will have a busy day at work and I should be fine.
I'm in in the morning-it is cooler but we are threatened with hot and muggy tomorrow-let's hope the forecast is wrong.
Monday; I'm in. Extremely busy day ahead, but that should take my mind off food.
I'll be in with you all in the morning.

I have my blood test tomorrow morning which will be 6 months since the last one - the only change since then has been 5:2, so I am really excited to learn whether my cholesterol level has lowered or not.
I'm in tomorrow too, after 3 weeks off with holiday, race and generally not getting back on track I feel like I'm starting again (though have not gained so 5 kilos lighter than before).

I'm dreaming of cooler wether, it's stifling here in Paris and it's set to continue all week, it's hotter than ever tomorrow at 34 degrees, I'm a bit jealous of you guys in Australia LOL.

I definitely will! Although I guess they will take about a week to get back to me? I will ask tomorrow when I can phone them :)
Very chilly here this morning but I am also on board today having made fast day snacks yesterday and have planned meals today looking at having miso soup lunchtime and some zero noodles with chicken and vegies for tea plus have calories for snacks if needed at my dreaded 4-6pm time frame Note to self -must remember to keep water intake up today, have a great day everyone
I'm so in today! Weekly weigh in, but I haven't weighed for 3 weeks because it was so depressing, never losing any weight. I thought: I'll weigh today, and if I haven't lost any weight, or have gained it, I'll just give up on the scales. I'll keep doing the 5:2, but I'll forget about weighing because it's too discouraging. Well, I'm down to 71.9. I was stuck on 74 - 75. Also lost another 2cm off the waist. My friend who is also doing 5:2 is coming around to help me think about de-cluttering the junk room. It's 8 degrees outside. Still and dry though, air pressure rising. Cheers, all; if you have plateaued, take heart from my story!
Well done Sallyo! :star:
I'm usually in the Monday gang, but not this week cos it's our 35th wedding anniversary, so planning on steak and champagne in the evening. Possibly lunch out, but the car just conked out, so could be an expensive trip to the garage instead of to a cafe by the sea... Hrmph! Maybe it'll be mended by the car-fairy overnight.
Good luck everyone. :clover:
