@Daydreamer21 is that really you?!

Looks as though I am out of sync with everyone again (story of my life!) my words of encouragement are...yesterday I was 11:8 but after a successful fast day I am now 11:6! So when you weigh yourselves tomorrow, you'll be in for a big surprise!

I leave you with this thought...
Good Morning, count me in for my usual Monday fast. :coffee: Good Luck everyone. :clover:
Jodyb80 wrote: Hey good luck everyone on their fast day, I'm on my first fast day but was wondering can I eat sugar free gum?to help keep hunger at bay ?x

@Jodyb80 sugar free gum contains a lot of potentially harmful artificial sweeteners such as aspartame, which some research has linked to cancer, and sorbitol which is a " sugar alcohol" which the body can't fully ingest,so it goes straight to the large intestine where it causes diarrhoea and gas!

Also, the brain apparently gets confused by the artificial sweet taste but no calories, which can then throw the body off balance

So,maybe not a good idea  xx
You get so much conflicting information. In her book "The Every Other Day Diet" Krista Varaday recommends sugar-free gum to staunch the hunger pangs. I was thinking of getting some, not that I get that hungry but to protect my teeth from the diet coke!

Bean
Morning all. I'm back on here after about 8 months. Added a couple of pounds so have about 2 stone to lose. This is my first fast day in a very long time - this one's gonna hurt - esp feeding the kids and hubby later while trying to keep it secret (he's a saboteur).
I'm in today for my usual Monday fast - good luck everyone :clover:

Hahahaha, what does he do, buy you chocolates and say nice things. The fiend.
Thanx candicemarie xx
Joining you all today for the usual Monday fast with trying to start losing weight again. It's grey rainy & miserable here in a Sussex & I am already feeling cold! So not a good start to my day :frown:

Hehehe yes @nursebean it is me, just the new me. Everyone in works had to do a double take today :victory:
daydreamer21, you look stunning!
I'm about to head to bed. I wanted to do another fast tomorrow but I hear we are having a "do" tomorrow night at choir practice as our conductor has just handed in the last corrections for his doctoral thesis. There will be cake and I don't plan to miss out. I'll do Wednesday or Thursday.
I'm in today. First time in fasting at home not at work so I'm hoping it goes ok. Will be especially hard as for to feed my toddler and my husband will be home and he never stops eating!!
Good luck today everyone!

I am finding it really hard today - totally different to last week! I feel so tired, have cold sores on my lips, have no motivation and am feeling a bit low. If I weren't so lazy I'd be going down to the sandwich shop for something comforting. But I don't have any food with me today and that's probably a good thing!
Count me in for my usual Monday. We had family staying for week end thoroughly enjoyed it but ate like a pig. Why is it that I feel I have to provide loads of food a nibbles for visitors and then I eat most of it?  had a Froidian slip this morning and forgot to weigh myself so I don't know the damage I have done. I also my be a bit down when I weigh myself tomorrow to find I have put weight on after a fast day. Oh well the trials and tribulations of a greedy Nessy. I do hope you all have an easy repair day. :like: :clover:
 Yes I'm in today were half way through our day and I'm getting carried away and almost forgot to post.
@daydreamer21 yes I bet everyone at work and the children thought you a "newbie" starter. Sue
