That's good to know, thanks@carorees. I guess, as always, it's important to listen to your body which I try my best to do.
Hello, Hello, Hello,
glad to have found you all. Thanks Carorees for the link...

Well, I'm 16/8 for now. I'm working up to it, by doing low carb until I can get myself totally into the window.
I'll enjoy reading all your posts.
You found the tent...hoorah! I look forward to hearing how you get on @righton. What time will you be starting and finishing your window? Will you be doing it every day :?:
Good luck!
Broke my fast at 2:30 with one slice of bread topped with cheddar and home made pickle with a couple of cherry tomatoes and followed by three squares of 70% chocolate. Have prepped beef casserole with green beans to be followed by apple crumble and ice cream. Maybe a glass of wine and a few nuts beforehand. Hope to close the window at around 8.30, making a 6 hour window.

How's everyone else doing today?
I'm on a 2 - 6 today and it was an omelette day, so spinach omelette with an avocado salad, which I could not finish, the a concoction made of Slim Rice, coconut cream, cocoa powder and hazelnut butter, with blueberries. Tasted OK but there is a,long way to go with the presentation. Not very hungry now, so a square of 100% chocolate might see me through. I am slowly cooking a huge pan of sprouts, cauliflower and broccoli as I plan to be out all morning tomorrow and just want to warm something quickly to have with a cod fillet when I get in.

Hi nursebean,
Well I'm planning to make 16/8 my mainstay, and from there when I feel like it make my window smaller on occasion. But for right now, I need to fit into my window, so I'm lowcarbing my way into it. This is exciting to me to find others with the same basic goal....Looking forward to losing all my weight this year. On the average I will be starting my window about 6:00 and ending about 2:00. I'm a night owl.....
Broke my fast at 1.15, finished eating at 8:45, so 7.5 hours and an indulgent day with soup and bread, biscuits, nuts and wine, fish pie and apple crumble and cream. Planning to have a shorter window tomorrow!
As expected, yesterday's indulgences resulted in a 600g gain (largely due to carb-related water retention I hope), so today I am not breaking my fast until at least 2.45 (that will give me an 18 hour fast). Leek and potato soup on the menu for breakfast when I get there!
I did well with my eating window yesterday. Of course, I didn't need those 2 cookies that I ate, but it was within the window! ;-) Scale is down a whopping 2/10ths of a pound this morning!

My plan is to do 16:8 most days, but on my boot camp days, I will have my low carb protein shake right after the session and then fast until dinner time.

I'm hoping to drop at least 10 lbs before April 16, when I leave for Florida and a cruise! How's that for incentive?

Have a wonderful day everyone!
Indulgent weekend (as usual!) so will be a low calorie day for me today. So far I've only had a cup of camomile tea. Not feeling hungry yet so will hold out as long as possible before opening my window. Plan on having a poached egg with mushrooms when I do open it. Steamed fish with pak choi and some brown rice tonight.

Hubby came home unexpectedly for lunch so broke my fast at 2pm not 2.45...intending to close the window by 7pm making a 5 hour window :like:
Looking forward to my 16:8 day today after yesterday's Fast. I think my window will open around 11....I'm going to let my hunger be my guide. I'm going to do a couple miles on the treadmill in a bit and then a TB of coconut oil in my coffee. That will be it until my window opens. I'm anxious to see how long the coconut oil will satisfy me.

Have good days everyone!
I can't eat so late anymore.
I eat at about 5.30-6.30 with my daughter. Who's a constant grazer so I have to reign her in by having main meal early.
If I have too much or eat late I feel very uncomfortable at bedtime. Id rather go to bed empty than over full. Suppose portion control, lower carb and mindful eating has made me change to eating this way nowadays!

How was the coconut oil ?
I have been doing the coconut oil in my coffee several times a week for years. Brain food you know! It makes an oil slick on top of my coffee, but I don't mind it. The bullet proof coffee sounds good, but I'm far to lazy to go thru all that!

I probably average 4 TB a week. Always in my 2nd cup. First cup has to be straight black!
