Every day there will be a new topic in this forum for today's fasters to chat & support each other.

epic fail for me today, my mind wasn't in the right place, the beauty is I can go for it again tomorrow.. :cry:
Should be me....but today I can't even contemplate it, so will give it a go tomorrow...feel terrible that I can't, but somehow feel I would be setting myself up to fail. :(
I'm fasting today...for the first time.

I haven't eaten a thing yet, just lots of water and herbal tea. It does help that I'm off work and just doing housework and suchlike though.

Kinda got used to this feeling when I lost weight before. I managed to lose 25kg once upon a time. Since I've put that back on (and more) over the last decade, I'm really hoping that this is the way to get back to where I used to be. And fit into the old pair of jeans I'm keeping as a test...

Gottabeslim - you can do it. Just make tomorrow be a new, dedicated fast day. Come up with something to keep yourself occupied so you don't stray.

Its good that you can make that type of decision. No point trying it if you are not in the right frame of mind.

In my (limited) experience of fasting, it is certainly psychological as much as anything..
I am fasting today and Thursday, normally Tuesdays and Fridays but I am out this Friday.

5th fast for me and as usual I will just drink water all day and have my 500 cals this evening.

Just changed my routine and gone out for a walk while colleagues went down to the canteen, insted of working through. Quite enjoyed it, and bought some nice tights. :)
9th fast for me and it's becoming a way of life. I don't really think about not eating I just get on with my day. I tend to save my calories for my evening meal and a hot chocolate afterwards but if i want to, I have a stock drink to perk me up mid afternoon. I've lost 5lbs and with only 1lb to go to my goal weight I'm really happy. I thought it would be harder than this, so was conservative with my goal weight. Definitely going to keep it up. :)
My second fast today, just tea and water so far. I am sure that there will be days when it all goes to pot for me too but it is not this day ;p Looking forward to feeling happy with myself to be honest.
The tea is unusual though - Lemon scented tea tree, bluegum, wild hawthorn berries and Australian Bush. Amazing what you find at the back of the cupboard...
Making some of that Hairy Dieters minestrone for later :)

Hi Everyone,
I'm new to the forum and Fast Monday & Thursdays.
Been on the 5:2 diet three weeks today, sure I'm loosing weight, my scales are playing up :( but all my jeans etc less tight :D

Hope to get some tips on here as to ideas for fast days, and make some new friends of course :)

Sorry to hear you are not so good today Louise, hope it goes over soon an 5:2 curtails your future migraines.
It's my fast day today as well, I haven't eaten anything yet and plan to wait tea time, just having a nice mug of hot fruit tea to keep me going, good luck to all of you fasting with me today, we are half way through!!!!!
2nd week , 3rd fast today, finding it a bit hard, not hungry as such but feel like munching :) trying to keep busy around the house and reading all the lovely posts here to keep me motivated. I am keeping all my calories for dinner tonight because I know if I started eating at breakfast time , I wouldn't have stopped.

I'm fasting today. Thought this was going to be hard today but its nearly 2pm so half way there. This is my 3rd week and 5th fast. I must say its not overly challenging yet. I had a green tea and 1 belvita, bowl of homemade soup for lunch...cod and green veg for tea.
Trying to avoid the kitchen, we went shopping yesterday so lots of food about, not necessarily bad food just food!! Good luck x
Lost 1 lb last week :D

My weight loss has been slow compared to many people on the forum, but I really feel so much healthier.
