I haven't eaten a thing yet, just lots of water and herbal tea. It does help that I'm off work and just doing housework and suchlike though.
Kinda got used to this feeling when I lost weight before. I managed to lose 25kg once upon a time. Since I've put that back on (and more) over the last decade, I'm really hoping that this is the way to get back to where I used to be. And fit into the old pair of jeans I'm keeping as a test...

Gottabeslim - you can do it. Just make tomorrow be a new, dedicated fast day. Come up with something to keep yourself occupied so you don't stray.

Its good that you can make that type of decision. No point trying it if you are not in the right frame of mind.
In my (limited) experience of fasting, it is certainly psychological as much as anything..
5th fast for me and as usual I will just drink water all day and have my 500 cals this evening.

The tea is unusual though - Lemon scented tea tree, bluegum, wild hawthorn berries and Australian Bush. Amazing what you find at the back of the cupboard...

I'm new to the forum and Fast Monday & Thursdays.
Been on the 5:2 diet three weeks today, sure I'm loosing weight, my scales are playing up but all my jeans etc less tight
Hope to get some tips on here as to ideas for fast days, and make some new friends of course

I'm fasting today. Thought this was going to be hard today but its nearly 2pm so half way there. This is my 3rd week and 5th fast. I must say its not overly challenging yet. I had a green tea and 1 belvita, bowl of homemade soup for lunch...cod and green veg for tea.
Trying to avoid the kitchen, we went shopping yesterday so lots of food about, not necessarily bad food just food!! Good luck x
My weight loss has been slow compared to many people on the forum, but I really feel so much healthier.
