On train on way home, looking forward to home made chilli around 6.30. Only black tea, water and a white coffee today. Its been OK - low level hunger, but I experience that very frequently anyway.

Glad to be back in routine.
Hi everyone, hope you're all having a good day.
I had the tummy rumbles at about 1.30 until something at work caused me lots of stress then, as if by magic I wasn't hungry anymore! All sorted now though so I can relax with a whole 500 calorie dinner!
How many calories in a glass of wine???
Depends how big the glass is Julesaw ;-)
Have managed well, porridge at 8am and nothing but fluids since. About to have soup with a thin slice of toast. I am finding I really enjoy the fast days but have to be prepared. I am settling into a routine with what I eat but it suits.
Just found out my prepared dinner's been eaten :( . Will have to work out a 500 cal dinner on the fly.
Just found out my dinner's been eaten :o . Will have to work out 500 cal dinner on the fly from back of the fridge :?
Minumonline: That's not fair!! CAn you make the culprit cook dinner for you tomorrow?
Fast number 3 for me - found the first two pretty easy but seem hungrier today. Anyway, just had a 400cal pizza followed by a cup of tea. Managed all day otherwise on water or black coffee. Still have100 left but may give them a miss and stick to my routine of just dinner.

Weigh in day for me tomorrow so keeping everything crossed that I see a few pounds less!!
Starting my 7th fast today, seems like it's going well. Not super hungry, haven't planned my dinner as of yet...maybe a chicken salad, cup of milk and an apple?

Love the flexibility with saving calories for the evenings lol.

Hope everyone's doing well!
Izbiz, that's just mean! sorry they did that to you

Minum - oh no! But the good thing is, you have a whole 500 calories, which is much easier than trying to cobble together a 250 calorie meal >.<
I seem to be able to eat an awful lot for my 500 cals. Am starting to worry that my calculations are bad. I use sparkpeople to work out my calories. Today I have:
Breakfast:
I weetabix - 60cals
50mls skimmed milk - 17cals
160g strawberries - 48cals
Lunch:
Homemade curry -111cals
(made with tinned toms, cauliflower, carrots, peppers, mushrooms, onions and curry powder for flavouring worked out using sparkpeople)
1 portion sugar free jelly - 8cals
Snack:
100grams grapes - 39cals
waitrose love life breadsticks - 43cals (17cals each)
Dinner:
Tuna salad 170cals (made with):
20grams watercress - 2cals
45grams rocket - 11cals
80grams cucumber - 10 cals
half a medium raw onion - 21cals
10g hellman's extra light mayonnaise - 11cals
6 baby plum tomatoes - 17cals
90grams tuna tinned in water - 90cals
Sugar free jelly - 8cals

Would appreciate it if any 5:2 experts could cast an eye over and see if I'm massively underestimating anything.
I don't count calories in drinks but I only have sugar-free squash, fruit/black teas and one can of diet coke.
Sorry for the super long post...
WK2 fast 3 for me and after trying eating nothing til dinner last week and feeling ill, think I have cracked it today. Had half a grapefruit for breakfast and an Ainsley Harriet cup a soup (hot and sour 62 calories - lush!) which kept me going then a 3 egg cheese and onion omelette with a big salad and a drizzle of balsamic vinegar. Lost 3 lbs last week, will weigh myself later. Hope everyone else has got on ok!!
I did my 2nd fast today but first on a work day, I started last week and it was half term. Amazingly I felt fine, I always feel really hungry at about 4 and today was no different but no worse even though I hadn't eaten all day. I've just had a salmon stir fry for 356 calories and feel fine. Here's to more successful fasts!
Thanks WillingToTry and TracieKnits, I had some leftover chicken from Sunday dinner, some caulicheese, and a couple of fried eggs, with salad and salsa. Random, but hit the spot.

I'll definitely get him to make me something fab for dinner tomoz :D
Mettamezzo wrote: It's my first fasting day today and I've survived so far! Porridge for brunch with skimmed milk and water, followed by a strong black coffee and a couple of herb teas. I will enjoy my mushroom omelette and salad later for sure :) Hubby is fasting too, he wants a chicken breast with veg. Any fat free ideas on how to prepare said chicken? Suggestions most gratefully received. Good luck all :)

Probably too late now but I've just had chicken and veg. I bashed the chicken with a rolling pin to flatten then cooked it on a griddle pan. Nice with some roasted courgette and pepper.
