Fasting today too.

Nothing but fruit tea so far, and waiting for hubby to get home so that we can eat together as he is fasting too.

Managed OK today, but sooooooo cold. Brrrr!
... So my second ever fast day is nearly complete, and with relatively few rumbles which really surprised me! - Pre 5:2 I've always had a big bowl of cereal, been starving by 11am, had lunch, been starving by 3pm... had dinner and probably eaten again after dinner... but today, knowing that I had 500 calories for the whole day, made me really appreciate them and it hasn't been very hard at all!

I even managed a rather full-on dance rehearsal this evening, which I was a bit apprehensive about doing on an essentially empty stomach, but I felt fine, if not more chirpy that normal :)

If such a simple change to my life can improve my health, then fasting for the rest of it seems like a no-brainer to me :)
Just popped on to say hi and well done to all who fasted today. Monday and Thursday are my usual days but doing Tuesday and Friday this week and as today and Thursday both have work commitments that involve lunch!!

Love the flexibility of this WOE!
So glad that today is almost over, finished my dinner and having an options hot chocolate now. 3rd fast today, found it tough compared to the 1st and 2nd one, felt very cold as well, but I am glad I stuck to it, and didn't give in. Been daydreaming about all the food that I can have tomorrow :) fasting again on Wednesday, weigh in on Thursday. Lost 1kg first week so hopefully I have a loss this week as well, fingers crossed.
Hi I fasted today too. Had blood pressure, cholesterol, waist, hips and height measured. The previous measurements were take on 11 OCTOBER 2012.
Started 5:2 on 12 FEBUARY 2013
BP normal. 119 Systolic BP 119mmHg Diastolic BP 77mmHg
Total cholesterol has gone DOWN from 6.80 to 5.76 :D
BMI reduced from 28.3 to 27.3 (aiming to get it down to 21-24).
I've lost more from my hips than waist so my WHR has gone UP from 0.94 to 0.96  .
Weight has gone down from 68 kg to 65.5kg

Food + drink consumed today
2 L water, I black coffee, 1 lemon & ginger tea
Packet of mixed leaves and a tangerine - snacks
Dinner - (Tesco) Smoked Haddock topped with soft cheese, chive& a hint of lemon
Steamed - carrot, green beans and Tat Soi (Waitrose)(100g each)
Tat Soi is very similar to Pak Choi so I've used it's calorific value. Total calories today = 367 and I feel satisfied without being feeling stuffed. Well pleased with myself :D
Hello fellow fasters - hope all went well today.

Skykitty - I use myfitnesspal (and I think a lot of others do) for calorie counting instead of sparkpeople which is american. MFP is showing 1 weetabix as 67 calories and 100g of asda green seedless grapes as 65 calories as an example. It might be worth your while to check your calculations on myfitness pal.

Hope this helps.

Krissie x
Well...nearly at the end of my first fast!
Think I've done ok - am coming a bit under the 500 cals so I'm going to take a cuppa to bed!
Bit of a headache but I expected that...

Note to self - DRINK MORE WATER :!:

Night night all! x
Well I had no coffee but I did survive though so tired by 9.30 went to bed and slept straight away. My weight yesterday morning was 77.6, today 76.1. Seems a bit crazy and my daily chart looks mad up and down. Just glad it's down again. Pip pip.
