Tompan, check your inbox, I just sent you Julia Child's recipe. It's excellent and tastes just like what they serve at Cafe de Flor on St Germain in Paris :-)
On my 5th week so fast no.9. I seemed to feel more hungry this afternoon than I have on previous fast days. Ok now as had a weight watchers chicken hotpot for dinner and have some frozen fruit defrosting for later when the hunger returns. Maybe it's the cold weather.
Made it through to a Waitrose beef stroganof and some veg. Having very early night now after. Manic weekend and tough day at work. Feel hungry, but not unbearably so.

Shocked by how bad snow storm was on walk home.
I've just had a weightwatchers sticky toffee pudding (174 cals) and 1/2 a meringue (25 cals) , weightwatchers hot choc (40 cals) and 2 oxo cubes (8 cals each) plus 4 peppermint teas and 2 pepsi-max's.

I feel like i've failed as i've eaten all bad stuff rather than healthy.
So today is almost over, usually on my fast days I save all my calories for dinner and that was the plan for today but around 2pm couldn't cope anymore , very hungry and very cold , so decided to have my all calories at that time ....that's what I love about this woe , you can adjust it to your needs.

Pfft, a calorie is a calorie? Are you going to continue eating? That's when it would get bad. Stop now, go to bed, have a bath, whatever.

Stop with the negative inner voice...
Fasting today too.

Came home to find hubby in bed with a fever and the shivers, so quickly knocked up a chicken stirfry with a hoisin sauce. He's fast asleep again now, poor thing. Not sure he'll be going to work tomorrow.
Fast day nearly over, have been stuck in a rut for a while now having 2 quorn sausages, small tin of hoops and a boiled egg on fast days, today I've had Singapore noodles and 2 crispbreads with Philadelphia as a supper, not sure whether I prefer it or not but made a change! Starting eleventh week and definitely on 1lb a week loss so 11lbs down! I feel like tortoise with so much to lose but it's working for me! Last week of maternity leave so trying to focus on quality time with my 7 month old!

Can you send it to me too? ;-) :eat:
Started today with hubby after an enjoyable Mother's Day yesterday. Planned my 500 for the day...plenty of hot water with a dash of lemon juice to keep me going and warm and a delicious low GI/GL meatloaf for dinner with a freshly made tomato sauce and steamed veg. I feel great this evening. Minimal hunger pangs until around 4pm. Remarkable! I've found this thread fascinating and inspiring to read today. Thank you all!
Fast day coming to an end. Roast veg and baked garlic chicken followed by an orange tonight. Was delicious but am a bit peckish now so it must be bedtime. Well done all fasters. I wonder how many calories we have saved if we totalled them all together? Quite a few I think.
Happy to report I just used myfitnesspal for today's calorie count and find that I still have enough deficit left to have an Options hot -choc to take to bed. Result!
Today was my first fast and I'm pleased how it's worked out. I planned the day's calories last night and stuck to it. I had 3 small meals and a snack. Seemed to work for me but it's interesting reading how everyone else does it. I'm learning loads, thanks
Fasting today too and glad to have company. It was a work day for me so not too difficult during the day. Now I am home and this is the part that is more painful. I feel "empty" and know I will go to bed early. I want some carbs but will remain strong!
Had my usual breakfast of 60cal yogurt, with a weetabix crumbled into it along with sliced strawberries - looks like a big bowl of mess but tastes yummy and is quite filling. Lunch was a WW chicken soup, 3 rice cakes and a small amount of melon. Dinner was a salad with two slices of turkey bacon. My only disappointment today was that I do like some fruit after dinner even if only a small amount, but didn't have the calories left for it today. Oh well, had a fruit tea instead but all in all a good fast day. I prefer to have my fast days when I'm working, the day is more structured and I'm less likely to be distracted by food.
