Hey boboff - here I am! We really should stop meeting like this lol!

Fasting today as is my routine. Had an epic fail on my last fast day on Tuesday. I was feeling poorly sick and just thought 'blow this - I'm eating'. Back on it like a car bonnet today. Good luck to you Boboff and all my fellow thursday fasters.
I can assure you Bob it's much easier to give up the fags than it is to control your eating, and boy do you feel better for it.
I was getting out of breath going up slight slopes and was frightened by the feeling and gave up cold turkey.
I've known others who have found it hard, and found the nicorette inhaler thingies the thing that helped them give up. My brother in law tried hypnotherapy, patches and everything.

Boboff if you want to stop smoking try Alan Carr "easy way to stop smoking, no will power required". It's available from amazon and it's brill. I used it and both my sisters and it works so well.
Hi guys, I'm normally here Wednesdays but had to go out to eat yesterday so have changed it to today. Don't know how many fasts I've done in total but slowly the weight is coming off so setting myself up today just about to make the soup ready for lunch time and have lots of salad and greens in for tonight. Good luck all. (Also have to meet a friend for coffee in a cake environment but will have a black one and should be OK).
Today is my 5th fast. I am feeling OK, I think it is getting easier. I am worried though because I did not lose any weight yet. I decided to keep doing this for a month and they I will see what to do. Good luck everyone!
Ooh posts above just came on at the same time as mine. I am also an ex-smoker, pprox 10 years now. Think that's where the weight came from....it needs to go now for a life change!!
Former smoker here. It's been 15+ years - did the Allen Carr seminar and it worked. Quitting smoking is so much easier than "quitting" food.
2nd fast of the week for me. 1st time I've done it at work, just hope no one notices as I haven't told anyone & don't intend to till the results speak for themselves! Can't be doing with all the negativity from people who think they know better.

:2nd fast this week today 5th altogether. Usually do mon and wed but I forgot myself on tues evening and did husbands packed lunch for wed, so we decided to change to thurs this week. Black coffee so far. Not at all hungry yet. Food shopping day today so that will be interesting ! :neutral:
Well, I'm on my 18th fast day. No brekkie except I've enjoyed a mug of tea with skimmed milk and a large glass of water. Off to have highlights done so that'll keep me occupied for a while and taking camomile teabag with me. I work from home, running my PR consultancy so the main thing is to avoid any stress all day!! I have understanding well trained clients though. :grin:

Best of luck to everyone fasting today. I'm excited about weighing tomorrow and adding to the Progress Tracker.

We're on an achievable mission, not a mission impossible. :lol:
2nd fast of the week for me today - almost four months on, they're really starting to get to be not that much of a big deal now.
Just feel a bit hollow and tired late afternoon/early evening but that's fine as I always gets an early night and save all my calories for dinner.

They might be famous last words though and today might be a real toughy!!

Hope everyone else gets on okay today. For every hunger rumble, just remind yourself of the rest and repair your body is able to do to itself :)
My 4th day today, feeling much better after having a cold this week, am sticking to what I did on Tuesday and saving calories for the evening, seem less hungary than if I have breakfast

Got the dentist later this morning, so that should make not eating today a whole lot easier!

hi Shirley - just wanted to say 'hang on in there' - my partner Clive and I have been on the diet now since the end of August 2012 and are at the stage where we don't want to lose any more weight. We found that weighing ourselves weekly was the best approach, because you will fluctuate day by day. Don't get discouraged, just remember that you'll lose around 1lb a week overall. Good luck!
