Alan Carr Chatty Man, does stuff on Smoking cessation, who knew!

Thanks for the feedback guys, and nice to see you back Es, car bonnet and all!
Hi everyone, my 3rd fast ever today. Im so pleased i have discovered this plan. Diets usually make me obsessed with food, what to eat next, what not to eat blah blah. I fasted until 6.30pm when we had spag bol (i had slim pasta). I dont think about food as i know im not eating till dinner & i feel great. Just have to remember to drink more water.
Hi, joining you today. Had a lie in as working from home so have already used up a couple of hours snoozing!

Water so far but just about to have a black coffee.

No food until dinner tonight which I think will be some smoked haddock and veggies!

Hope everyone has a good day!
I should be fasting today but I'm not! A visit to the doctor has led to me having antibiotics which have to be taken 'with, or after a meal, four times a day' for seven days! The leaflet inside the packet says they could be taken with milk (apparently food/milk helps with absorption) but when I checked with the pharmacy dispenser she said a meal would be best.

As I am a 'one meal in the evening' faster, I know that breaking 500 calories into four bite-size 'meals' would be impossible for me because my 'hunger switch' turns on very easily, so I have decided to face the next few days eating moderately and get back to the 5:2 regime once the antibiotics are finished. Roll on Tuesday! I am hoping that I may still make my first stone loss (only one and a half pounds to go) at my weigh in on Sunday morning. Fingers crossed!

In the meantime, I wish all of you fasting today, and for the next few days, good luck, good willpower and good eating!
Boboff- another exsmoker here- weirdly I found I put weight on after giving up, not so much with replacing food for fags, but the whole not legging it up and down stairs in work 5 times a day for smoke breaks! Didn't have patches and stuff when I stopped 10 years ago, or I'd probs have stopped earlier, what worked for me after years of trying to give up, was to have the first cigarette of the day later each day, took months! Good luck with it :0)

Also fasting today, hope fellow fasters have a good one!
Fasting today, my 5th time, and my hubbys 1st.. hoping he will stick with this! Have to come up with something wholesome for dinner, since he is requiring more then me, in the way that he wont be satisfied with a veggie stirfry for dinner
Fasting today, was my lil boys 2nd birthday yesterday so still digesting all the cake I think! Makes it slightly easier knowing I had a few treats yesterday that I didn't have to feel guilty about today! Cleansing today with water and mint tea!
My first ever fast day today, going ok so far - just about to have a boiled egg! I will experiment over time with what times to eat. I am so glad of this forum!!
Another regular Thursday faster here! I inadvertently fasted yesterday (I think). Didn't count calories but must have only had around the 500 mark. I was so busy scraping wallpaper, by the time I'd finished it was far too late to start eating! So, this will be my 3rd fast this week. I hope it shows on the scales as it will be the first time I've lost 2 weeks consecutively :-)
Cags, good luck on your first fasting day! My first fast day was on 18th Jan when the whole town got snowed in and I had to walk to work each way - 2hr of walking. Gosh, that was an exhausting day! It's my 19th fast today and I must say it got easier with time, though I didn't experience any more snowy days since my first fast.

Dinner's at 5pm so stil have a couple of hours to go!

Happy fasting!
Fasting today - 2nd of the week, 4th overall. I tried going through until dinner time on my last fast day and I found it much easier so I'm going to do the same today. Been for a walk with my mum and managed to survive going to Tesco without weeping in front of the chocolate, so it's so far so good!
Fasting today, my 4th one. I just can't skip breakfast so am on 3 small meals throughout the day. Bought some hot choc stuff (it's vile!!) to get over sweet cravings and Bovril to satify any savoury ones.

I've bought a new set of Omron scales so I can measure my fat etc. Not opened the box yet!! Sunday is my weigh in day so might wait until then!
Mashi, I too am feeling disappointed today. Am on my 7th fast, 2nd of this week. Been watching my feed day calories religiously on myfitnesspal and STILL no loss!!! Finding the fasting easy and even thinking about resorting to a third fast tomorrow to help me along. I know on my heart the weight loss will slow down but I have this compulsion to see a drop in scale weight and get seriously peeved when I don't!!! Arrrrrrrr!!!! Good luck fellow Thursday fasters xxxx
Fast number 7 for me today (2nd this week). I've just had a coffee so far but fancy another now :) The usual fish and stir fry for dinner tonight. SarahD20p, like you - I'm disappointed with my sloooooow weight loss (especially as I was losing quite well before this WOL on a simple calorie-controlled diet). But I'm going to stick with it as I really want this to be the one to work in the long term!
I think the beauty of this plan is that you can play around with it and find what works. Ive decide having breakfast on a fast day flips my hunger switch so waiting til the evening.
I have never stuck to a diet before and I think its the freedom, plus all the support from fellow fasters that helps
