Like jazzybear73 this is my fourth fast. Have to work, shop and do a 30 min run. Training for a half marathon in dire straits due to much snow and ice. Sigh. Mushrooms, home made soup and prawn omelette to eat today. Thank you Carolees for putting up your fast day schedule. I found that very helpful. Good luck everyone.
Morning fasters. Just getting up for my second fast day. Mid afternoon on my first fast day was horrid. :frown: so plan to have a bag of sugar snap peas around to snack on then.
Black coffee and muti vit for brekkie, then off to the gym. A 1 and 2 omelet for lunch then DD has ballet this afternoon. I'll take the iPad and sit in the car sipping lemon water, if I come home ill be tempted to snack  Chicken stir fry for dinner. And lots of herbal teas. Same as fast day number one

I do have a prob though, I have an order of 36 Easter cupcakes to bake today for the weekend  gonna have to refrain from licking the bowl. It's gonna be sooooo hard. So I'll be here later for moral support  have a good day
Fasting today....hopefully it will be an easy one, ask have a million things to do....good luck all x
It's Thursday, it's a fast day! Reading what KataMac said about gum set me googling. I can identify with the yuk breath, not sure in my case whether it is ketosis or just too much coffee

I had an idea that even sugar-free gum had a lot of calories but at c.5 per stick it isn't too bad. Then I found Chicza organic biodegradable gum with agave http://www.chicza.com/english/ - 7 calories says MFP. Has anyone tried it? As well as being natural and supporting peasant farmers (etc) I like the idea of the biodegradability. Not that I would plan to spit it out on the pavement but...
Morning all another fasting day for me, lost count now. Have got into the routine of Monday & Thursday fasting don't give it a thought now! Drinks, water, tea & coffee with a splash of milk till dinner time when it's roast chicken & a pile of lovely steamed veg.
Looking forward to my Easter eggs (just the wee tiny ones) over the week end
Count me in! My third fast, and I'm hoping it is going to get easier. Fast day goes OK during the daytime, but then I get major league grumpy in the evening. My OH would say it is impossible for me to be more grumpy than I normally am, but believe me I felt like I could kill something and eat it raw on Monday evening! Went to bed at 9pm to avoid getting arrested.
There's the remnants of a nice beef stew (325 calories) to look forward to this evening. Until then an apple and some cuppa soup should keep me going. Good luck everybody...
Good Morning Campers !!! :lashes:

Fasting day for me today and sooooooo looking forward to it!

Meal out lunchtime with work yesterday and I didn't eat much for dinner last night.

Going to have some homemade veg and lamp soup at lunchtime, sugar snap peas for a snack if I need to and make some tomato and lentil soup for dinner tonight.

Have a good fast everybody !
Morning All

4th fast for me. I've planned it for a busy day at work then lots of things to be done after work so hopefully I'll be kept busy & wont have too much time to think about food! Looking forward to enjoying the long weekend for Easter :like:

Good luck to all today :clover:
Another fast day for me too.

Started well after I got up, got dressed, went downstairs...and found I was wading through cat sick!!!! Euggghhh!!!!! :cat:

Having to clear all that up made me  too, so I'm a really happy :bunny: at the moment - NOT!!

Little darlings...got to love 'em really. They're too gristly to go in a pie! ;)
Morning all Fasting today as well 6th I think. Its becoming second nature now especially as husband is doing it with me now. 3 tablespoon Greek yog this morning so that I can take pills , miso soup and bovril throughout the day and hairy bikers cottage pie with mashed cauliflower topping instad of potatoe for dinner. yum
Sofacat, when's your half-marathon?

I'm doing one on 19 June, and like you, all this snow and ice has severely hampered my training. I'm dropping my step son to the leisure centre tonight, so I'm hoping to get 30 mins on the treadmill.

At lunchtime I'll fill the car with petrol and get it washed.
This is my first fast on a non-working day but I hope I'm going to be too busy packing for my long weekend in Spain to think about eating. I am a bit worried that I will be changing my fasting days next week - I am completely used to Mondays and Thursdays, and as I won't be coming home until the early hours of Tuesday morning I'm not sure whether to just do Thursday, or try to do Wednesday and Friday. I'll just have to see how I feel.

I decided to record a weigh-in this morning,as it's nearly a month since my last entry, and then leave the scales alone until the monthly weigh-in on 6th March in the hope that any 'temporary' gain caused by holiday eating will have gone by then.

Best wishes to all, have a happy holiday weekend.
Morning -fast day for me after caving in on Tuesday

I plan to eat a small breakfast / lunch of oats with water and blueberries. This evening's meal will consist of a poached egg and slice of salmon on a small piece of rye and a small bowl of homemade tomato and red pepper soup.
Fasting day for me too, sipping my peppermint tea as I write. I'm also making marmalade so may have to taste it as some point but I'll get over that.
I found Chicza organic biodegradable gum with agave http://www.chicza.com/english/ - 7 calories says MFP. Has anyone tried it?
