hi all
2nd fast of the week for me and hopefully will be beter than some previous thursday - i find this one a bit harder
planning on just liquid all day tea and maybe some bouillon and all cals for dinner tonight tho as yet i have no idea what that will be

jeniben
Oh thanks Domonic, that gum looks way better than regular gum. Will have to see if there's a supplier in Australia. I hadn't even thought of calories for gum, although I've only been doing an evening meal on fast days, and it always comes in well under the 500 calories, so think I'm okay.
Second fast of the week and already hungry :frown:

I suppose it doesn't help that I had to help my children make cakes for their school bake-off and we've got some lovely spongey off-cuts sitting around the kitchen. I nearly bought some sachets of miso soup to try this morning but they were £3.29 for 4 sachets - are they always that expensive?

REALLY looking forward to my Hairy Dieters Spanish chicken bake tonight!
I'm on fast day today and it will be my third of the week and only the second time I've done back to back fast days. Got to make a dent to be filled over the weekend. This is my 5th week and I'm really surprised that I'm still dropping weight even without exercise. 9 pounds in 5 weeks, I'm so pleased. I only have 8 pounds to go to target weight and then I have to try an stay there. I've heard that people move to a 6:1 routine to maintain weight so that's what I'm going to do.

This is the first time I've managed to lose weight without exercise so once the sun comes out and I can get out on my bike I should shift the weight a bit quicker too.

This has to be the easiest way to lose weight ever!
Fasting today too...so I drink tea all day(I drink copious amounts of the stuff on non fast days too!!) and save my kcals for dinner!!!
Noddy my daughter has those boots in petrol blue..love them!!

Hi.. first post and first fast day for me...

Noddy: if you can get to an Asian store, you will find miso soup paste for about £4 for a 345g pouch. I use 10g for a 20cal soup, works out to 12p ish per cup! :)

Hi,

Just wondering what WOE means? I am seeing it a lot, it's probably really obvious!

Way Of Eating
Thanks Nixhar, I think I saw the paste in Sainsburys too so I'll have another look the next time I'm there.

Virginia, I LOVE my Miaow boots (in fact, I'm pretty much in love with all Irregular Choice shoes). If I had the money I'd buy a pair in every colour
yes and isn't a woeful acronym
3rd week and 6th fast. So far I've always done 3 small meals but today I'm trying to save my calories for the evening meal. No breakfast, sipping a hot choc now for lunch so aiming to have a chicken and veggies stir fry before a 2 hour gym session tonight (son is at TKD training so I go to the gym)
I am on my sixth fast today (week three). I am planning on having most of my calories for dinner. Probably chicken or salmon with veggies. my usual fare is a little boring, but satisfying. Blackberries might be a good snack at the early afternoon. The most challenging aspect of the fast is that I will be home most of the day.
Mmmmm managed to get through the whole morning without as much trouble as I expected. As I should know by now, fasting is as much about the attitude and mental state as anything else - get that right, and you're home in a boat!

Tucking into my miso soup with 3 celery sticks for lunch right now - yum!
Morning/afternoon/evening all!

This will be my 4th fast day. I plan on saving most/all my calories for homemade vegetable beef soup tonight. I tried this same plan on Tuesday, and got super hungry before supper, but I want to give it another try and see how it goes.

Weigh in is tomorrow. My first since I started 2 weeks ago. Hoping for a loss!
Doing ok so far.....76 cals on 2 slices of wafer thin roast beef.....next challenge is 2.30 and school kids snack time, which is Easter cakes as it is the last day with me before the hols.....wedding tomorrow, so motivation to succeed today is high....looking forward to the wedding feast :)
