Started the day feeling so hungry, but I made it to dinner time on only 1 cup of hot chocolate. 16 hours on only herb teas. Still got 100 calories left, but I might just have a bath and an early night

Do you get stinky breath and a 'furry' feeling on your tongue when you fast?
Fasting today also with you. Small bowl of cereal, 1/2 banana in afternoon with chicken and veggies for dinner. Lots of water,and peppermint tea. Looking forward to Easter Sunday which will be a wonderful feast day with family. Good luck everybody :)

I'm not sure whether to let my hair down on Sunday or not :doh: I guess it will depend if my weigh-in on Saturday is pleasing or not. Hmmm

Thanks for the support. I'd really like to lose 20lbs. I try so hard, exercise 5 days a week, eat pretty good, maybe too much at times. Maybe my feast days it's too much. Today I had egg beaters, 1/2 a grapefruit, 1/2 cup of plain applesauce and will have a salad for dinner. My fast days I am doing great. I'm constantly drinking water or tea.
Fasting today, saved all my calories for my tea- have a leg of lamb in the oven and the smell is torture! It had best bloody taste lush now, or I'll be gutted! Mmmm
Me too. I'm fasting today. I had half a dozen scrambled egg whites with salsa (130 calories) for breakfast. I also went to the grocery store today. I always go to the grocery store on fast days and load up on too much food. I bought choc covered almonds and almond butter cookies among other things. Looking forward two three days of feasting beginning tomorrow!
That's it I'm done! :grin: Today has been so much better than monday only consumed 431cals and haven't felt awful at all. It almost feels like I'm cheating (I'm not!). New app myfitnesspal is brilliant. Being able to count my calories as I go through the day has really helped. Bovril as a hot snack and the sugar snap peas were absolute savers today. If every fast day can be like this I'm converted AND preaching about it :lol: herbal teas till bedtime. So glad you guys are here
Bloody thing isn't ready yet! Plus side is I've now accidentally done a full 24 hours without food- tum is starting rumble mind...
Well done QueenB. I'm just off for my supper (stir-fry and salmon probably) and my break-fast, then some peppermint tea. Living it up!
Every fast I have gone just a little longer before eating anything. On Monday I made it to noon before I broke out my peppers to eat. Today I made it to 1:30pm. Carrots are really sweet when you're truly hungry lol.
I'm dizzy now.

Just sitting here chewing a sugar-free ice pop. Oh the high life!
Today I have changed my routine. Yes it is a normal Thursday fast day, but I decided to eat in the evening rather than at midday. I cooked a three egg omelette accompanied by a mixed green salad and a wholemeal role. Half way through, I was totally satiated, and couldn't complete the feast. In the past I would have forced the whole meal down my gullet, but no....I am getting so much more in tune with what I want, and need.

I have dropped almost 11 kgs ( 24 pounds). I am really enjoying the whole experience. :victory:
