So Easter happened and I'd managed my fasts earlier in the week (tuesday and thursday)... Had 3 normal days and had planned to eat whatever i wanted easter sunday... Monitoring my intake, only went over my 1900 TDEE by a few hundred so i'm not worried... Still managed a 3500 deficit across the week too.

Planned a normal day today as I'm still with family but have decided to try and get back to fasting instead and record and progress tomorrow morning when i get home.

Good luck all... Easter does feel like it was typo much of a blib...
Sincere 24, nice to see that some people come back! I know that if I stop, I will find it too hard to come back so very proud of you!
Normal Monday fast for me and looking forward to it after a heavy weekend of eating and drinking. Good luck everybody
It's Easter bank holiday here in the UK but I am fasting because I want to establish a habit of 'meagre Mondays' for life and don't feel it was a good idea to fall at the first hurdle. I'm determined to make this work. I turn 50 next year and there is a history in my family of females dying of cancer before this milestone. What stronger motivation can there be....?
Pleasantly surprised by the scales this morning, really was dreading my Monday weigh in as had a big family get together this weekend plus throwing the easter eggs into the mix too did not bode well. Still pleased (and relieved) to report that amazingly my weight has stayed the same!

Usually fast on Mondays (and Thursdays) but have decided this morning that I am going to fast tomorrow (& Thursday) instead this week as feeling weak willed with there being still too much chocolate, cake, hot cross buns etc in the house.

Good luck to everyone today who is fasting and who is obviously much stronger willed than me!
My usual fast day too and a bank holiday here in France. Have not eaten any chocolate as it is not big here. Am trying to keep away from such things as they encourage a binge! Going for one evening meal as this seems to work best for me. Will have Hairy dieters lamb curry this evening replacing the lamb with quorn for me. OH is sort of doing this with me which helps with the evening meal! Have had my morning coffee and will continue with hot black coffee, water and a mug of oxo around lunch time. Weather looking good so will do some work on the veggie patch today. I love digging in there with the chickens and ducks hovering for any worms or grubs I unearth. I want to get seeds in soon but need to be sure weather improves first. Last year a lot of seed rotted in the ground.
Have a good fast day all, together we can do it!
I'm also looking forward to my fast (and that's a first!), far too much food and alcohol over the weekend. Will do Monday and Wednesday this week and then give it a rest next week as we are away.

I agree that sedation might be a little over the top, but I have made it through a couple of particularly difficult fast days by spending a few hours under the bed covers....
Me too today.

Actually had a weekend of making sure I ate plenty as getting a bit too used to eating bigger all. Seem to have developed an aversion to carbs. Shared fish & chips with OH on Saturday & had some Easter egg yesterday. So long since I've had an egg wasn't sure how to tackle it. :-)
Just sat here, tucking in to the first black coffee of the day and planning on this being my first repair day where there is to be no food until the evening meal. I have previously split the days calorie intake so I am going for the all in one option today.

Hope everybody has a great day today, whatever your plans.
Good morning fellow fasters :) Well I had my egg yesterday...a big one but that was yesterday and it's business as usual today, good luck all x
Wasn't going to fast today, but have woken up in the right frame of mind, think my body has adjusted nicely to Mondays and a little paranoid about losing momentum by swapping days as I did last week! Scales this morning showed no loss after too much binging on normal days (opps), still reminding myself normally they would've shown a gain and so onwards I go! Starting week 13 and 15lbs down so nothing to complain about! Hoping to take kiddies to Easter event, but it's looking a little rainy and my partner has a bad back so he's not much fun! Tempted to go by myself! Happy hunger everybody
some great signatures & user names in the thread today.

Think you're right about having a new set of rules, swinger, it's what I do for fast days. Once decided, easy to stick to.
I was going to fast yesterday, after a really bad Friday and Saturday, but in the end decided to just eat normally and do some exercise. The right decision, as most of the damage on the scales yesterday morning has gone.
(I know I'm not supposed to weigh myself daily, but I like to keep track of what is happening).
So back to the planned Monday/Thursday pattern. Read Dr. Mosley's book, which makes me feel a bit better informed. Skipping breakfast as I am not really hungry, and will go for a light lunch of porridge and a more substantial evening meal to satisfy the feeding urge that seems to be an evening habit.
Good luck everyone!
I'm fasting today after indulging yesterday. We are having our roast tonight and I will have quorn sausages (we are all veggie anyway) and the vegetables got plenty of teenagers to eat the rest. Off to do some clearing of our building site/garden to burn calories and distract me!
Good morning everyone!

Today is my first ever fasting day! After a very fatty weekend and a long lie in this morning I figured today would be the best day to start! Early nite for me too ready for work tomorrow! So any good tips to keep me on track? Apart from hiding the left over Easter eggs :-/
