After a horrible weekend of unusual indulgence, I am back to fasting today.

Although, here in Australia, it is yet another Easter public holiday today which makes it a bit difficult. In addition, I am trialing the one meal for dinner thing instead of splitting my 600 cals morning and night.

All in all it is going to make for a fun day for my seventh fast. At least I have some incentive...

I was a bit of an end-of-March fool. I generally do not overeat on non-fast days but Easter...there were eggs and Lindt and cakes and Lindt and Thai restaurants and Lindt and family feasts and ugh...

I eat chocolate about once a month, if that. Got my decade's quota yesterday!

Being a daily weigher and taking the weekly average, it was a bit of a spike today. So that is spurring me on.

Anyone else making penance today?
Good morning fasters!
On my 9th fast today and feeling very happy with my 2.98kg loss over my first month of 5:2ing. If I can keep losing 2-3 kg a month I'll be well pleased.
Despite the Public Hol decided to treat today as my normal fast day and went for my swim and will keep to herb teas and black coffee till 6.30ish with just a bowl of strawberries mid afternoon if I'm hungry.
Last fast was the first time I hadn't had a small lunch and found it was the easiest yet so hopefully today will be good too.
I did eat a bit more over Easter too, but not too bad- it's the Hot Cross buns that are my weakness, oh and the Lindt Choc! Very Foolish indeed!
Me too Fishbaum,
In Adelaide, and a nice quiet Easter Monday and similar, too much indulgence over Easter and of course its showing on the scales.
Tummy is rumbling a bit, have had 3 Green/Lemon teas so far, going for a walk shortly; when i get back i think i'll have a Miso soup.
All the best Monday fasters.
Fasting today, by last night I was craving a fast. I pigged out on Friday and Saturday (cinnamon-bacon-maple syrup scrolls and hot cross buns) and yesterday (chocolate chocolate and a bit more chocolate) and it made my body feel like crap. Only had veggies for dinner last night (all I felt like) and today I'm loving just drinking loads of water and green tea.

But in spite of all the pigging out, my weight hasn't gone up, and more importantly, my waist measurements are the same.
Hi fellow Monday fasters. I had a HUGE day yesterday so it is quite a relief to give my system a rest today. Also I slept in until about 10 (see note about huge day above!) so figure I have about 3.5 hours less fasting to manage today. I remember reading a book called "The Valley of the Dolls" where the young actresses were basically sedated for 10 days a time to get their weight down. My three and a half hour lie in is a modified version of that! Think I will schedule an afternoon nap with my book too - could start a new trend here - just snooze your way through your fasts. :sleepy: :sleepy:

Good luck everyone.
It's still Sunday here, but I'll be joining you in the morning. I enjoyed the holiday foods, but I'm looking forward to my fast tomorrow. It will be a good reset after the weekend's indulgences. Off to bed with me now...
Well done you are all too good for me, I'm still eating Easter eggs. Arrrgghhhh I feel so huge after Easter indulgences. Will need tomorrow's fast.
Just a 'normal' fasting day here. Not into Easter (or any marketing driven 'holiday') - think they save all the crap icky too sweet choc. up for the year & pump it out in expensive shapes/foil over Easter. ;)
Morning fasters. today is the beginning of week 2 and today is fast 3. It's my first fast at work and is still an easter hol here in the uk. I'm an ITU nurse and work with a lovely group of people that like to share (read I'm gonna be bombarded with choc temptation all day!)

I have my cals all counted out and extra herbal tea/ diet drinks to sip on. It's a 12 1/2 hour shift so should keep me busy. Gonna eat dinner at work then straight home and bed. Fingers crossed. Wish me luck people
After having an extremely bloated tummy yesterday afternoon and then topping it off with a chocolate croissant, there was no question that I was doing a Monday fast!
3 hours until dinner, looking forward to steak and salad.
Well done Mondayers!
Haha Badalya - I'm with you - I never even SAW an Easter egg. I fasted yesterday and today I feel so full it's amazing - I tried really hard to be bad  but could only manage half an almond croissant which was pretty foul anyway...I look forward to fasting again tomorrow
I'm fasting today too, my usual Monday fast. Feels good after all the delicious food (and chocolate!) yesterday. Even if I wasn't exactly within the 'normal range' of calories, I didn't overindulge which I'm really happy about - 5:2 is really making a difference to the way I eat!

Good luck to all my fellow fasters!
Good luck QueenB, and good on you for being so strong!
I used to be a RN and know the temptations when you are feeling tired.
Let us know how you go.
It's nearly dinner time here so soon I'll have mt plate of veges and some fruit- my cleansing day.
I've been hungrier today, don't know why, unless its Easter Bun withdrawal!
Hello Everyone,

Today will be my first fast (technically 11th fast) after a three week hiatus. It should be interesting, I have my meal planned out. Hopefully it turns out great an I manage to complete it without a problem lol.

Good luck fellow fasters!
I'm planning a sort of fasting day today, but am off to the races with friends this afternoon. They sometimes bring a picnic, so fingers crossed that they don't today!
