Got to love the flexibility of this WOL!
My in-laws have arrived for a visit but came saying they wanted to settle into the holiday home they've hired and eat the ready meals they'd bought so my fast can continue with a soup for tea.

All-day brekkie with chips on the side tomorrow!
Well had a poached egg on a piece of toast for lunch and will be having roasted butternut squash risotto for dinner, had a great fasting day today and apart from feeling cold haven't thought about food much or been hungry :-)
Had to be done after a Sunday of wine, wine wine with Easter eggs! Did a 9 mile walk yesterday morning but don't think it made a dent in the excess calories. Home made root veg soup with strawberries and yogurt for dinner tonight very filling. Disappointed to have lost only a pound in 2 weeks however as a friend following the same diet reminded me 1 off is better than 1 on!
I'm fasting today - finding it the hardest one yet. Kids and OH off and here all day, my daughter in particular keeps asking if I want to eat X or Y!

Have done well and survived a cinema trip without taking the offered sweets and popcorn so feeling very virtuous!
The moaning has started now!

Him: "I'm hungry!"
Me: "Well have something to eat then and then fast tomorrow."
Him: "Can't do that, I've come this far..."
Me: "Well shut the bleep up then!"
Olibelle... That's really good! :star:

Jemma... You tell him! Well done! :star:

I've just got back from the races. My friend had brought two humungous pork pies! Fortunately I managed to only have a very small slice, tho I really didn't want any, it would have been too rude to refuse. Unfortunately it still must have netted about 200 cals. I did resist the buttered hot cross buns. So I'm carrying on with my fast day, looking forward to a stir fry. At the moment I'm in bed trying to warm up, because it was FREEZING; my bones feel chilled right through and my nose & mouth are still numb!
Keep it up everyone :clover:
Hi all :) Hope you're all having a good day of it!
I'm finding fasting quite easy today as I'm poorly and don't feel much like eating. That said, my body keeps saying something about wanting an egg, so I think when I make my salad tonight I'll have a boiled egg on the side instead of my usual beetroot.

The frustrating thing is some friends of ours are in the country for a few days and may pop up this evening, though we don't know what their plans are or if they'll be expecting dinner/takeaway etc. So this may turn into a last minute non-fast.

That said, I already feel like I've broken my fast as I'd normally be on water only but this morning really needed a hot lemon & honey - still, I didn't put much honey in so reckon it was only about 15 cals total at worst. I know I have to be careful not to let my stubborn "I'm fasting" attitude get in the way of looking after my body's needs when I'm ill!
Moogie, sorry you're under the weather, that's not fair on a bank holiday! I hope your friends don't cause a hiccup, and that you do remember to look after yourself! After all, you spend so much time looking after us lot! Thank you! :star:
Poor Moogie!

We have been fasting today and getting on pretty well with it- both of us at home, slept in a bit, went shopping, soup lunch, OH walked dog while I had a little snooze (!), dinner at 6.30pm. Biggest threat is always the cold! Brrrr. Relieved to have almost got one of my two out of the way with relative ease.
This has been the easiest fast day I've ever done. Went shopping and didn't think of food at all, didn't even feel hungry. I still don't feel that hungry now. This must be down to the fact that I had a MEGA binge yesterday
It's really motivational reading that I'm not alone on my fast days! :like: :victory:
Woohoo! Friends have just had to cancel seeing us today, and want to come over tomorrow instead. Defo a fast day then! Time to go make my salad methinks, my body could probably manage to eat something now, especially if I give it that egg its been asking for (no, not the chocolate kind ;))
This is my first ever fast day! I'm holding up okay; normally, I'm a grazer (eating 4-5 small meals per day), so my stomach keeps asking me "where is the food!" I gave it some facon (fake-bacon) earlier, so hopefully it will shut-up and be good. 8 hours til bedtime, and I've still got 250 calories left!
It is a fast day for me, as well. I am so grateful for the support of this community, because now I don't feel like I am doing this alone.
