@Maryjanebj I tend to not eat much processed food, so all the calories I'm having on fast days are from things like lean grilled meat/fish and salads/veg, which I just use myfitnesspal to work out. Which sounds pretty much like how you're doing it? But I suppose I know that if I want something from a packet, I can tell instantly the calories Im eating, while you don't have that option. My hubby spent a few months in China last year and wound up losing a lot of weight there, he said that the food was great, loads of fresh ingredients. Suppose it varies depending on where you are.
Count me in today! Lovely morning for a walk here, frosty with bright sunshine, so no excuses for not getting a little bit of exercise in.
Usual coffee with splash of milk & water throughout the day & a huge salad with a bit of chicken for dinner about 6.30 so that's me sorted.

Fasting today, feeling really hungry and got a headache which does not help :confused: 6 weeks into this lifestyle change I am finding that I am mainly waking up on a fast day and i am constantly thinking about food!! I generally stick to coffee and tea for breakfasts and just go with lunch and evening meal both of tinned soup - getting a little bored of it but can manage to stick with it knowing tomorrow is an eating day.
After a calorie laden weekend, and another coming up decided to have a go at three fast days this week to try and balance things out. Two completed with the third today, and have managed really well. It has helped that I have been working late shifts at work 12-9pm, so start the day with hot water and lemon juice, two coffees with skimmed milk mid morning and lunch time, then lots of water during the afternoon finally getting to eat at about 6pm. Have been having easy stuff to microwave at work, or last night was a Waitrose Love Life Quiche with a huge salad followed by a small bowl of fresh mango. It was delicious! Arrived home at 930 and straight to bed.....I love this diet, it is just so easy to do and to fit around my lifestyle. :like:
I'm in today.

Had a sneaky extra weigh in this morning and saw....9st 13.8!!!!! That's the first time in about 10 years I've seen my weight begin with a 9! Hubby is also at his lightest weight since his early 20s

Found my Fast day tricky today. I have just started a new job and needed to concentrate super hard this afternoon which I was finding tough. A small apple and a cup of tea around 2.30 got me through and I'm about to tuck in to dinner of 2 poached eggs on soy and linseed toast. I normally avoid bready carbs on fast days but that is what I really fancy and it comes within my 500 calories so what the heck!

I'm here today too, second ever. Have got planned a busy day with swimming, walking and singing tonight, so that should help. Only two cups of black coffee so far and a large glass of water. Fish for tea, will see how it goes, have lots of those 10 calorie jellies in the fridge if I get tempted!

Well so far, having all my calories at lunchtime has worked really well for me. It's 6pm, and I'm peckish but nothing I can't stave off with a bit of water until bed time. Have loads of energy still, no sign of sinus, and had a great hour long bush walk this arvo, followed by walking the dog. Hopefully I get to sleep okay, without hunger being an issue.
I'm onboard again today :grin:
This is the first time I've ever done 2 days in a row which I know isn't ideal but its the only way I will fit 2 in this week as I find it too hard to do on my day off (Friday) & the weekend is a definite no-no!
Just lots of water/green tea/earl grey until this evening.

Morning all :) I'm fasting today too. Still not told my family! Quite looking forward to today - was out to dinner last night and enjoyed it, but not as much as I used to!
Yep, count me in too ............ although travelling daughter returned yesterday (7 months away) and we've got family coming round tonight for fish and chip supper so my strength and determination is going to be well and truly tested. :confused: I can't change days to tomorrow (as it's daughter's b'day and there'll be more celebrations). But my resolve is high (at the moment)... but hey, if I weaken then I'll still have done a 6:1 and normality will return after the weekend :grin: Good luck to everyone today
Hi. Yup, I'm on board today. Week 10 and fast #22. I'll weigh tomorrow morning. So far have lost 6.9kgs. Not weighed since the over indulgent Easter weekend. I run my own business from home and this is what today holds.

Stopped trying to squeeze in a breakfast as well as lunch & dinner about 3 weeks ago and it's been fine. I have a mug of tea with skimmed milk at 0800, water all morning, then at lunchtime I eat two dark rye Ryvita with a smear of Philli Light and a slice of Pastrami on each and if hungry, or feeling cold, a cup of soup (Ainsley Harriet Italian minestrone or Cockaleekie).

I then walk the dog for 30-45 mins...brrrr! Second mug of tea when I get home, feed dog and back to work. Usually I have a third mug of tea around 6.30pm.

Supper tonight will be earlyish, around 7pm and 140g chicken with cabbage & leek stir fry (using a couple of sprays of oil & water). If spare cals we'll add a few Japanese noodles. More glasses of water or fruit tea and then warm bath cos I start getting restless around 9pm, then bed.

Usual plan for me soup for a late lunch then 400 calories worth of dinner,
The family want chilli and so that is going to take a bit of careful portion control on my part. Any thoughts for a low cal accompaniment for me would be appreciated

Hi Everyone. Im fasting today. Doing a 6.1 this week due to the holiday but I did a smi fast yesterday.Coffee and a few spoons of greek yog this morning. Miso soup and oxo through the day and cottage pie with cauli and broc mash instead of potatoe for dinner.Roll on dinner time.!!!
