Hi. I split the casoulet, had an oversize portion on a feast day, then froze an appropriate size portion for a fast day. We ate the meat from what was left, so I froze the remaining sauce separately, and used it to make a slightly different fast meal, a few weeks later.
Hi all, I decided to join you today as I've just organised for a friend to visit tomorrow! So far just had black coffee. I bought the Hairy Dieters book this week so am thinking of having something from there...possibly meatballs...tonight. Anyone tried the meatballs?
I'm fasting today! I wouldn't usually but I'm doing 4:3 this week after Easter's excess.

Good luck everyone.
hi all
i am fasting today as Tuesday was a wipe out due to coming down with a cold and feeling sorry for myself. However the loss of appetite thing seems to have kicked in today so not finding it too bad - just had plenty of herbal teas and 2 normal with a splash of milk.
No idea what i am doing for tonite but am being drawn to scarambled egg and seedy bread - not yet had many carbs on a fast day so could be interesting

All my 500 cals are carbs. white carbs at that! Oops

Hi Caroline,
Yes - they are great! We have also made them with veal. Just about every recipe in the book is tasty, filling and low enough calorie to fit in with Fast Days.
Cheers - Tim.
Hi everyone, greetings from sunny Helsinki! I'm another Thursday faster. After today, I've completed 7 weeks.

Had a dentist's appointment in the morning, and since then it's been work work work, fuelled with green tea, water and black coffee. A few rumbles but nothing too bad!

Planning to have a salmon-couscous-aubergine dinner later today. Can't wait... or actually, I can :-)

Good luck everyone!
I'm fasting today too, but am so busy, I can't think about food. Hope I can squeeze in some ham and slaw for lunch.
Yes, am doing today. I can do it. I know I can do it. Positive thinking etc! I just haven't planned any meals, but have a cuppa soup in my desk drawer if I need it and can rustle something low cal up for dinner I'm sure!
Mom just sent me a package of goodies. Today's fast is going to be tough with all the Peeps and Reese's staring at me.

Thanks Tim! Just got to remember to take the mince out of the freezer now!
Also fasting today. limit myself to 2 cups of coffee with milk, Ainsley Harriot cous cous, ww yoghurt and for tea baby plum tomatoes and mushrooms on a slice of toast. Lost 7lbs so far, but incredibly noticed a big difference to my waist. I managed to wear a pair of trousers today that I haven't worn for over a year!! This fasting carry on really works!!!
Fasting today too....not going to eat anything until this evening when my plan is to have 2 poached eggs on toast (or muffins if they are less calories ;-) )
I m having the Hairy Dueters Chilli for dinner on my fast day tonight....can't wait..
Fasting day here also. Pleased to have finally received some fingerless handwarmer glove things through the post to keep my poor cold hands warm at my desk! All wrapped up with three layers and a bodywarmer and a hot drink. Aside from the chilliness all is good. Totally manageable to just keep plodding through the day food-free. Always amuses me to hear my colleagues moaning about how hungry they are ('I'm starving! Is it lunchtime yet?') when it's only been a couple of hours at most since they last ate.
I thought I'd find it harder being surrounded by people eating and wafts of delicious smelling foods, but it actually just reinforces how in control I feel on a fast day, and the power of that goes to my head a little and makes me nicely smug

Pondering what to do for dinner tonight though - got two chicken breasts in the fridge for me and hubs tonight (he's fasting too). Was going to do these BBC Good Food Thai-style chicken & sweet potato parcels at 429 calories each

But I'm wondering if it's not going to give us much bulk for our calories and I'm thinking with it being so chilly and with doing another 30 mins on the treadmill after work doing C25K, plus doing an hours hilly dogwalk, all before dinner - I might really be wanting to tuck into something satisfying!
