A lovely sunny autumn morning here, feels good to be fasting today!
Enjoy your fast day. I'm just away to bed after a good fasting day. Looking forward to my scrambled eggs in the morning! Actually, its been the best fast day I've had. I think I'm up to around 20 fasts now. Apart from a short time just after my meal this evening when I drooped I've been bouncing with energy all day. First time I've noticed that. I've usually been headachey and grumpy. Made a nice change.
I'll be fasting again Thursday as well! (It hasn't started for me yet, though, still Wednesday here) I'm looking forward to it, as my first two weeks of this WOL coincided with my vacation so this is the first time I'm actually doing 2 fasts in the same week.
Good luck - hope your fast is going smoothly! I'm planning to have a 220 calorie pouch of Indian Lentils for lunch and then a can of soup for dinner, with a sugarfree jello and a miso packet on hand in case I need them!
I will be! It's 1.30 here, can't sleep :( working 9-7 tomorrow so plan is 2 Ryvita with Philadelphia Extra Light & smoked salmon at 3.30ish and then I have a Thai chicken & coconut soup for dinner around 7.30... It's my 5th fast day and the first one where I'm working all day
Where are you Aussie_Kaz??? You had better be here today!! Don't let the Aussie Mon Thu Team down!

Hi everyone! Here I am for fast No. 8 and getting easier. I think I will stop counting soon. Woke up to my house flooding this morning so not even a thought of food. Had a big bowl of Pea and Ham soup for breakfast (300 cal). Back to the mop. It really bucketed down here this morning.
Im here and Im hungry  but yes I am being very good and am fasting today
Fasting today too. Not doing my usual only green tea and water until 24 hours (dinner), then a protein/veggie dinner today, trying something different to see if I can avoid the terrible sinus I've been getting.

I've have 3 cups of regular tea with milk instead over the morning (like I would on a non fast day), and will have a protein/salad meal at lunch instead. Then I'm meeting some friends for a bushwalk, and hopefully will be fine with no dinner and waking up for breakfast sinus free in the morning.
Yes fasting today too and feeling so much better than yesterdays feast on a Lindt choc Easter egg...erk felt foul the rest of the day after that. Today whilst I feel hungry (I had my 70 Cal veg soup for bfst and black coffee all morning)I feel full of energy after walking 13 dogs and on the train home to walk my 2 dogs later. Raining today so not so much fun for a dog walker but I feel great! Tomorrow is my weekly weigh day and I am hoping I haven't plateaued, however my work shorts are lose instead of being half buttoned up, ready to pop open, so that seems a good sign. I will feast Fri/Sat and won't curtail these days unless I stop losing weight. I have done 4:3 this week again, so on my 10th fast and it does get easier. When I was younger I used to do Leslie Kenton's 5 or 7 day fasts - they start with cutting down then nothing except water in the middle days, then slowly work back up to food again. However I was still thinking I would be ready to gnaw on a piece of wood if I fasted now with all the walking I do - nah it's all good and I'll be eating something nice in 4 hours. I am so glad I found this Fast diet! Best wishes to all fasting today...and the other 6 days :>)
Hi GMH...In the voice of Homer Simpson, "Mmmmm...piece of wood." That's how I am feeling today...for some reason, I am much much hungrier than usual. I went back to a split feed breakfast and dinner after a one off trial of the "wait until dinner" routine.

Nice to see you back on track, Kaz.
Hi Fishbaum - I find it really interesting how we all feel differently - between each other and also between our own fast days. I guess there are so many variables with different diets before starting this regime (& I mean that in the nicest possible way ;>), different ways of doing the fast days (1,2 or more meals), different ways of doing feast days. Eating differently on fast days than on ones 'normal' diet. Some people feeling really ill with migraine's whilst others have no untoward symptoms (except eyeing wood longingly lol). Really rather interesting.
Fellow Fasters please help !

This is my second fast day and I am coping with the munchies by reading these wonderful forum posts . So I am from ny but i live in china and i am having problem counting my calories as i cant read chinese and they dont really count calories here =( so on my fast days i stick to fruits and vegetables Usually to count my calories i google the calorie amounts of certain foods using LIVESTRONG most of the time but i have found that various websites have different calorie counts . Im having a green salad with a boiled egg for my dinner but the calorie amounts vary from different websites as caloriecounter , livestrong , etc etc
Does anyone have experiences with these problems also ? So far i have had today a mandarin orange and an apple and the calorie count varies from different websites , I dont want to exceed my 600 calories today . please help . thanks in advance for tkaing the time to read this
Thursday hasn't yet begun but I like to think through my fasting regime the day before. I shall have Kombucha, coffee and some genmai-cha during the day. After a swim in the evening I will have a good soup with a piece of hard bread.
It is now Thursday in France and my second fast day for the week. I have had a mug of black coffee, my headache has started and it is eyes down for another 24 hr fast. Well actually I have already gone 12 hours which is a happy thought. Visiting a friend for coffee this morning then this afternoon will carry on with digging the veggie patch and clearing brambles. Usual chicken and duck duties and need to prepare the weenies house and run as my three chicks will be going out soon. I have a disabled chicken who always goes in with the babies to help keep them warm. About 7 this evening I will have a quorn stir fry without rice and a full fat but within calories yogurt. Generally feeling good today. Planning to increase water intake as think dehydration may be contributing to the headaches.
I'm in the Thursday gang!
Just having a cuppa (can't forgo that!), then nothing till my evening meal apart from fruit tea, water, maybe another cuppa. Thinking of having eggs tonight, but have run out of veggies so may have to go shopping. Not good on a hungry tummy... Eeep!
Good luck everyone! :clover:
First fast day of week 3. It's getting easier - I think!
The plan is no breakfast, porridge for lunch, and Hairy Bikers salmon recipe for dinner. Copious amounts of coffee to keep my liquids up, then an early bath and to bed to avoid temptation.
Rain in my part of France means no gardening today, but I have a stack of ironing to do, so I will get some exercise!
Good luck all...
