I'm also on a repair day... I think I need it after a lovely week in Scotland (where I put down the 5:2) - gladly picking it up again, and will continue to eat normally for 5, repair for 2... it's all good!
Hi there - I'm new, and haven't really ever posted on a forum so bare with me! I was looking for some info for my friend and stumbled accross this website. I have been on the Fast Diet since the beginning of Feb and so it now seems like a really normal thing to do. I have also started to run (which I have NEVER done before) so I feel it has given me back some control with eating as well as the confidence to try something new. Anyway, I am fasting today, so a big "Hello" to everyone else fasting today
It's morning here. Just had my coffee and soy cream, fresh pineapple and yogurt with sliced almonds- saving the other 250 calories for tonight. I'll be working all day from home, so I'll spend my breaks going for walks and getting a few things done around the house.

Feeling good and hoping for a successful fasting day! Good luck everyone:-)
Small ham salad for luch, salmon salad for dinner, need to keep busy, home early from work and starting to think about food...... HELP
Coffee this morning. Teleworking today, so I'm home with the food supply...lol...will fill up on water and tea until dinner tonight.
It's almost noon here in Boston. It's a holiday here Patriot's Day. ( Apologies to all in the UK.) This is my first non-working day fast and almost decided to skip but am giving it a try. It's also Boston Marathon Day and I am watching the marathon while online and it is very inspirational. I figure if they can run a marathon I can have the willpower to go a few hours without food.

Going well so far just my usual am cappacino with skim milk. I will have chicken broth for lunch and maybe a garden salad with lemon if I can't make it to dinner time. I think turkey chili for dinner yummmm.

Hope everyone had/has a great Monday!
Hi all, new to the forum today. I'm about 6 or 7 weeks in and all's good except that I seem to have reached a plateau. Anyone else experienced this? Any solutions? Thanks
Doing pretty well today not eaten all day and I've had a banana on my desk all day (Was contemplating eating it for breakfast but changed my mind)

Decided to go for a lunchtime walk today, for two reasons,
one. to skip lunch and two. to boost my mood, it worked as I felt much better than before.

Been hammering the sugar free juice - having that with hot water for a change so its "hot juice" would normally hammer black coffee but have gone off that today.

Planned my meal for this evening - a wholmeal pitta bread and salad, had that last fast day and I was seriously full!
Welcome to all the newbies today, wherever you are. There are some fantastic weight losses being announced too, so well done to those people. In fact well done to everyone for just being here! It's definitely the right place to be!
It's my 2nd fast day since starting the diet, and I'm glad to say it's nowhere near as bad as my first was. I could eat, but I'm not bothered about it like I was on the first day. Also, I didn't wake up this morning with the thought of "ugh, I have to fast today!" It was more "I have to fast today...ok!" I'll just enjoy my breakfast all the more tomorrow.

I've not been overeating on my feast days, but I've had what I wanted when I'm hungry, so I haven't been obsessed with eating and stressing about the things I can't have like you do when you're on other diets. I think that's the key for me...eat what I want but when I need to, not just because I can. I had to get myself in that frame of mind early otherwise I would have probably undone what the first fast day did for me.

I'll weigh myself on Friday so it's after a fast day (I read that's what you should do), and it will be 8 days after I started the diet (nice amount of time to see what I've lost in my first week). Then I'm going to try not to weigh for another 2 weeks.

Good luck everyone!
I am also fasting today, my 2nd day as well. Will have my dinner now, after not eating at all today. It was not difficult.
Count me in! My first fast. Lots of tea (would prefer coffee, but I take it with cream and couldn't spare the cals!) I have a mushroom broth with some bits of mushroom to get through the workday and have leftover beef & asparagus at home (pre-plated, measured etc) I need to plan out the entire menu for the fast day or I don't think i could do it. Think I'll stroll out for a manicure instead of "lunch" in the spirit of doing something nice for myself (rather than a punishing mindset) I am hungry, but it's just hunger. (Ha)
My first fast day is almost over! Feeling very pleased with myself and looking forward to feeling healthier. Spending far too much time browsing this forum tho.........!
4th fast day today and has been helped by being unbelievably busy at work - just put head down drank black coffee ( amazing how nice this is! ) and now nearly dinner time. How good is that
Not my first fast day, but the first when I've made it to the evening with just a stock cube and a mug of kimche soup (24 cals).
I've had a veg and bean 'curry' and feel I've done really well.
You all seem to have done well too.
