My second fast and its been a really good day! Even had a quick trot on the treadmill before tea. The concept of this 5:2 really seems to work for me. No boredom or feeling guilty as I usually do when I attempt an healthy eating regime.....happy days!
Good luck to fasters...or hope it went well! Still morning here and fasting on green tea and genmai-cha. Usually drink coffee and kombucha in the afternoon. I think I will finish off with the veggie curry leftovers (a lot) that I have sitting in the frigo. I just will need to add a few more spices since it wasn't quite hot enough for my heat addiction!
It's the end of another fast day here and it's been a good one. Nothing all day and then a nice chicken and veg casserole followed by a pear, delicious! The only thing I really miss is a glass of wine, but really it's not much hardship to do without.I can't say I've felt hungry and I've been very busy, even managed to bake a cake for tomorrow when a friend is coming round. Early night tonight as have to be up early for breakfast B&B guests, then the farrier is here for my ponies feet...another busy day ahead
Today is my second fasting day, and it has not been as easy as the first! Maybe choosing Tuesdays and Thursdays was a bad idea, because I was quite hungry yesterday, even though I did not have more appetite than usual.

On the other hand, maybe finding this forum is what has made me so aware of my hunger today, because I've been reading about food and dieting for hours, instead of keeping busy and distracting myself. Regardless, I am very happy to have this resource, I think the support and motivation will do me good.
Hi all. Well today was my first fast, I think I've done surprisingly well if I do say so myself lol. Lots of water at work, no headaches, even managed to do the food shopping and not succumb to temptation.
Well done to everyone else fasting today.x
Bit late in the day, but I've been in too! Fourth fast for me and just off for a run and swim, wish me luck I'm a bit concerned about the 1.2 mile run :0
Doing my second fast today. Having a bit of trouble at the moment, but just trying to get through the hunger wave. I am saving all my cals for dinner around 5:30 so only about 5.5 hours to go.

I'll do a little yoga in a bit to kill some time ha!
Hi all,
Today is my 4th fast. I do Mondays and Thursdays I'm doing well I have found my headaches are getting less on fast days. I like most people have by living by the rule of if I crave something I say to myself Jodi, tomorrow you can have that and by tomorrow I'm not "craving" it.
Fast number 4 today and feeling much more in control. Didn't fall over with starvation and far less hunger pangs. Been for a joggy walk around the park and just tucked into a fishcake with huge salad (with red wine vinegar) lovely . I am definitely anjoying the taste of my food more.
Thanks for the company everyone!
We're fasting today too. It's been so long I've no clue what number it is!

Not been hungry at all today, really haven't wanted to eat and only managed half my dinner! Hope I've managed to lose this week as I've been on a bit of a plateau for the last few.

Good luck to all the newbies joining us too! :)
My family has really jumped on board with this WOE and now there are 5 of us supporting each other. Everyone is doing so well and feeling great. My husband and I are completing our 7 th week and it does get easier. Just a hard boiled egg, lots of tea and water, then saving calories for dinner. Good luck everybody
Fast #14 for me today. I'm sure the carbed up dinner I had last night didn't help today, but I'm not feeling 100% with some weird aches & fatigue. But I'm staying strong and looking forward to my dinner tonight.
We have the advantage over you, we're nearly finished now

As is invariably the case, I saved up for the evening meal, which we ate at about 20h00 - delicious fish pie (thanks to Wendydarling & BBC good food) it was delicious & really filling but I was hungry from about 21h00 (therefore why I don't eat during the day) - it's ok that late on in the day though as I know I'm nearly at the end of another successful fast & one day closer to my goal, so I'm not prepared to waste all that effort.

Bed now & I'm done

Good luck to all those just starting today/tomorrow :clover:
Off to bed now, another fast under my belt. Good, productive day, and hoping for a good nights sleep tonight - I tend to sleep a lot better on fast nights.

Good luck everyone still going, and when you wake up tomorrow its almost the weekend !
As I write this, it's 5:00 pm and I have had nothing but water and coffee. I am not all that hungry. Dinner will be salmon and veggies. OH will have meat pies, which I don't care for. Anyone in UK, Europe and Australia is all done now.
