Here we go again - must be about fast 15...lost count. Looking forward to feeling cleansed  Good luck all!
Well decided to take lots of liquid with me to work today, veggie soup, black coffee and of course loads of water. I think I'll lose weight lugging all this stuff about in my backpack.
Will be doing my fourth fast day tomorrow, my tip for feeling fuller is carbonated water, worked a treat on Monday so hoping tomorrow is just as good!
Fizzy water; that's a good idea. Am going to try that on Thursday, my next fast day.
I'm with you today, although time zones make 'today' somewhat random!

What a great support group ! :)
Wow you guys are all up early. I drink loads of sparkling water on fast days and coffee. Have a great day and let the fast begin.
Will be my first fast tomorrow, have read lots of posts on what to expect so hope its not too bad. Good luck :-)
Ahead of myself really, as it's still Weds evening in UK, but I ate my meal about 7pm so no more until tomorrow same time, then through to Friday lunchtime  Count me in fellow fasters - looking forward to it
Welcome NicholaMcg. If we can all do it so can you.
I too am fasting on April 18th, however it is still Wednesday evening here. It will only be my second day and I am quite looking forward to it!
I'll be fasting on Thursday (still Wednesday night here). Good luck everyone!

What are you all eating?

I may be wrong but it looks like no one has started this yet today. I'm fasting today. It's a bit tricky because I'm going to a tapestry workshop where we have to bring lunch to share. I didn't have breakfast. This is the first time I've done this on a fast day. It is now 9.45am and hunger is biting. I now know it will pass. I am taking some smoked salmon as my lunch to share and hoping someone else will bring salad items. I am hoping I can be restrained.
Yup I am in as usual. I am starting to get worried because I keep losing weight. Four days in a row hitting new all-time records. No fluctuations...
just "down, down, weight's goin' down".

Doesn't seem natural to have no occasional ups. This is fast #12 or #14. Not really sure anymore.

Made a big bowl of lentils, carrot, tomato, onion, garlic and Indian spices last night. Leftovers for today. Funny how now I am eating the same things all the time.. Just fast days, I eat less.

It's really not that bad Nichola! If you really get hungry, however, and think that you can't go on and just have to break it, just think that unlike other ways of eating (WOE) that leave you in misery day after day after day, with 5:2 Fasting, you just have to make it to tomorrow. Go to bed early if you have to.

Surprisingly, I woke up after my first fast at 6.45am and didn't have breakfast or even crave breakfast until around 9.45am. You'd think you'd be starving!

Good luck! Keep up the water. It is very filling and very good for you.

Oh and P.S. Monday/Thursday Fasters Rock!!! You are with the coolest fasting ppl here!*
If your worried about the weightloss Fishbaum then send it my way!!
Big chicken and veggie stir fry tonight but for now more water.
