My 11th fast day today but this will be the first without my housemate as he's in Paris for the weekend (Sounds awful!). Work has been OK, following my usual routine but haven't got anything planned for dinner and would normally cook for 2 so worrying slightly I won't be able to stick to it. I suppose I can't go far wrong with a small fillet of haddock, a few new potatoes and loads of green veg but it's easier to cheat if it's just you.
Hello all! Just signed up.

Started the 5:2 diet on Tuesday with my first fast, went well! Today is my second fast of the week and it's going well so far although I've had a few sudden bouts of dizziness/light headedness, especially after drinking a fruit drink!

Dinner tonight will consist of 2 small sandwich steaks and a handful of pasta!
am in today too.
so far 3 cups of milk tea, looads of herbals and water
Was hoping to make it till dinner before eating anything but just had some almonds as was getting a bit light headed
fish pie and mega veggies for tea to look forward to soon

onwards and downwards people xx
Fasting Tuesdays and Thursdays. Surprisingly Tuesday was pretty easy after an indulgent holiday, which mainly involved eating and drinking! Today, I have been drinking loads of green tea.
At lunch break, instead of watching my collegues eat, I went for a walk, not too vigorous, but I was trying to work out how far a mile might be? About 2,000 steps?? Anyway the walk did me good!
Tonight we are having another Hairy Bikers meal of salmon with ginger, new pots and asparagus. Hope it goes as well as the Spanish Chicken Bake, which is really good
Fast Day #7 for me! My first two Fast Days were painless. My last Fast Day was successful, but seemed really looooooong. Whenever I am stressed, I eat....nibble nibble graze nibble. Today - so far - has been less stressful, and the stress-eating urges have remained dormant. Keeping a chilled bottle of mineral water and a container of crispy celery stalks at the ready, just in case!
Fast two of week 18 for me, wow has it really been that long!

Going well so far, two coffees a mint tea and got cottage pie with sweet pot mash topping a loads of veggies later.

Will weigh Saturday or may be tomorrow.
Did my new abs DVD today, I'm pretty happy with everything now, just want to tone my tummy and loose the last few pounds.

Good luck all. :clover:
Today is being a tough Fast, as I feel really cold and was feeling rather "flat", I ended up having some prawns on lettuce leaves at lunchtime, which perked me up. Waitrose Low cal fish pie and veggies for dinner, can't wait!

Hilaryjane I've had a go at the Hairy Dieters this week and the Ginger salmon was good, the Spanish Chicken was good too but I think I overdid the portion sizes on the latter(not a fast day so OK), I'm thinking of either the Harissa Chicken or the Special Casoulet for tomorrow night (depending on the weather). Has anyone tied either of those recipes?

Dinner in 2 hours, just under 400 cals left
Wow, how many of us today?? Me too. Just making a quorn curry and rice which I reckon to be about 400 calories. Smells good and getting rather hungry now. Add that to all my cups of tea and just a little over 500. Amazing how the body, and mind adapts. Good luck everyone x
Also fasting today. I noticed that in the days between de last fast and this one, I did not feel like eating. I did eat but not much. Also today, as I only have dinner on my fasting day, I don't feel like eating. Doen anyone recognize this?
Hola from NYC. I'm doing my 2nd fast of my 1st week. Fizzy water is very refreshing today. Very thirsty.

Am planning to just do water/tea and then have chicken & asparagus at home.
Wishing all a good fast!
Thanks everyone!
Been to meet her - perfect!
Might wet the baby's head tonight, or tomorrow. See what hub says.

Now I know why I'm doing this - so I can play with grandchildren, instead of just watching them! Another lb down this morning, too!
of course someone chooses today to bring in bagels and cream cheese and put them in the empty cubicle right behind me! Since when do people bring in bagels on a Thursday?!

Well at least i've got my black coffee. And my trip to San Diego next month to keep me going!
I'm fasting today too, in my second week of 5.2. I am feeling a little more energy than usual this morning :) and relaxed about it even though I haven't planned dinner yet.

And it really helps me to think of this as repair day. Each of these moves me toward better health, whoopee!
I'm joining in today, just enjoyed my evening meal after coffee and water all day, feel fine and quite full up! First week back to work after Easter hols and am finding fasting at work pretty straight forward, guess I'm used to it now, I'm on week 14/15, not really sure to be fair, but going a long time! Definitely over ate on tues due to marks and spencer cookies so going to attempt to rein it in tomorrow and over the weekend else they'll be no weight loss this week! Looking forward to my options later once my little girl is in bed! Hope you've all had a successful day
:victory: 15th fast toady. I felt really hungry at breakfast time (I don't usually) but then got really busy at work and the day went by with out too many hunger pangs. I've just eaten a home made fish cake and lots of green veg. So far a good repair day.
