We are in but trying 4/3 this week to shake things up a bit. We want to see if a plateau is easier to break. Feeling so good on our fasting days just going to add 1 more this week so will do a Mon-Wed-Fri. No chance of anorexia in this household because we love to eat. Good luck out there everybody :)
My 3rd fast today, haven't done Monday before as at home all day but didn't know when else to fit 2 in. Put lunch on plate but then after eating 2 mouthfuls decided I wasn't hungry just eating it because I thought I should. But feeling cold now. I have under active thyroid and just hoping this won't cause problems. Dinner in 30 mins and then hope I can make it to tomorrow.
Did 2 consecutive days last week and found it really quite easy. Eating days were more difficult and yesterday not too successful but better than would have been if not 5:2 ing.
Well done to all of you successful people, reading how well you're doing is so encouraging.
I'm fasting today too and it's just nearing lunchtime where I'm at and I'm getting a few tummy rumbles but they really don't bother me anymore.

It's a little harder today because I am not busy and somewhat bored so I'm thinking about food a little more. Seems worthwhile to notice that and plan activities better in the future.

It helps to read 7 pages of other fasters comments though!
2nd fast day for me today, sitting with a very rumbly tummy so time to make my tea (2 scottish slimmers venison sausages & 3/4 tub mash direct carrot, parsnip and swede).....yummy yummy. Surprised how well I ahve done on my 2 fast days (refused bday cake on day 1). Struggled with sleeping last time, hoping its a one off and tonight will be better.....any tips re sleeping would be great though.
Happy monday everyone x
Good fasting today after not fasting at all last week but I was fairly careful about my calorie intake without denying myself as I was away on a few days R&R. I'm feeling very well and feeling slimmer and clothes are definitely baggier. I'm not sure why my boobs don't seem to be getting any smaller though even though my back is shrinking. I've been incredibly busy all day which always, helpfully, helps pass the time.
I'm fasting today too. I'm three or four weeks in now (I tried 750 calories for a couple of weeks to ease myself in before starting properly a couple of weeks ago) so still too soon to be seeing any results and still a bit hungry today but I haven't really helped myself today  I am starting to enjoy fasting though.

I have a real sweet tooth and a chocolate habit so severe I can't go a whole day without... yet. Today I have eaten 2 satsumas, a dairy milk mini and a penguin wafer bar. Tonight is more sensible a preprepared simply fish portion (198 calories = bargain) and a largish pile of cabbage and broccolli.

Does anyone else get through the hunger pangs by promising themselves cream cakes and other 'naughty' treats that they then don't end up eating (most of the time anyway)?
Hi I managed 500 cals today and have a sweet tooth I came to bed early ( to save being tempted ha ha ..so today was a first black coffee a few marigold bullion drinks 2 bags of Apple & Grapes a Glorious Butternut soup and min meal quorn chicken fillet & loads of veg.
All in all its been good but I'm looking forward to food tomorrow xx
Fishbaum, that's very sad. You certainly strengthened my resolve today.
I had a really loud and long tummy rumble in the Dentists @ 2pm... brought a chuckle and smile to a few of the others waiting. Cant be all bad :)
Simmer, you brought a smile to my face too - it's been a very long while since I saw Captain Caveman! Ooga booga hehe!

Am considering changing my fast day to Thursday rather than Wednesday - I like Mon / Wed as it feels I get it out of the way, but Thursday is my last work day so I get the Friday feeling 2 days a week rather than 1 and the temptation to indulge that evening is quite high.

How did you go with cutting out the milk? I discovered that I can't do it with breakfast tea but switching to Earl Grey (which I wasn't previously keen on) with a slice of lemon in it, I can handle. In fact, I have more of that than black coffee on fast days now.

I find Monday/Thursday better. I think my body copes better with it having 2 days between fasts. I didn't get sugar cravings before 5:2, found that I had them when having one day between fasts and then 4 days of 'normal' and now with a couple of weeks of 2/3 days between fasts, they've gone again.

Btw - your avatar always makes me smile. I'm not sure what it is in the background but it looks like an angelic halo!

Oh yes... and it's a fast day here too. I actually got a little hungry late this afternoon but successfully distracted myself. Now off to cook some veal with purple sprouting broccoli and a little quinoa.
Decided to turn today into a half fast instead of my normal fast. So, had my 24 hours on zero cals but allowed myself a bigger dinner than usual. It's our wedding anniversary today and although we had curry last night knowing I'd be fasting today, I thought it would be okay to change my mind for once. I was going to have a small fillet steak with veg tonight for under 500 cals, but instead added some blue cheese sauce and a few chips for probably nearer 800. as I so often reassure folks here, its only one day out of a lifetime. So, I might not lose weight this week. I might even regain a bit I ate so much yesterday... Never mind!
I fasted today totally by accident. I was suppose to fast yesterday but ended up eating kebab :-(. Today I skipped breakfast because I was busy making hubby's birthday breakfast and then I forgot to take my lunch to uni so I thought I might as well carry on and fast today. Iv had a cuppa soup and a weight watchers meal for dinner and I am feeling ok, tiny bit hungry but will keep up with the water.
Mmmmm, blue cheese sauce..........yum.
Couldn't fast after all because I got invited to a tasting menu and I couldn't say no. I kept it around 800 calories (one of my friends who was there is a mean calorie counter) and if I nibbles something for dinner I'll keep it under 200 so the whole day will be around 1000.
Fasting tomorrow and on Wednesday though and then keeping it low on Friday because Easter weekend is approaching which means 5.000 calories daily, LOL!
