Fasting today Monday29 April
28 Apr 2013, 21:23
Help. This is my second fast. First time I will do it at work. Afraid I will be do-lally or simply too hungry to function. Please tell me it gets easier.
Good luck for your second fast. It does get easier, much easier. So hang in there.

Im fasting today too :)
I find it helps to be at work as long as I'm busy. I wasn't going to fast on Monday as had a meal out planned with a friend. Unfortunately she's not well so my dilemma is do I fast now or stick to Tuesday as I'd planned this week. Fasting for me is a mind set thing and I hadn't realised until this evening how much I get my self prepared for it mentally. Oh well Ill sleep on it and see how I feel in the morning. Good luck Byoung, and yes it does get easier. Stick with it.
Count me in for my normal Monday fast. I find it easy at work and just go for a walk at lunchtime or spend half an hour on here if it is raining. I love the feeling of resetting myself after an indulgent weekend. It does get easier byoung103, just remember to keep your fluids up. Happy Monday fasting everybody.
Normal Monday fast for me. Off to work but as I'm alone at work its not too bad and I make sure I don't take any food with me. Looking forward to a coffee.
Yep fasting today ... not too happy to come into work and see a 'morning tea' spread laid out. Oh well ... there's always tomorrow.

Feel like I ate a lot on the wekeend and so shouldn't be that hungry but this is only my third fast so my body is still giving off hunger signals based on expectation!

Hopefully over the weeks it will start to recognise a pattern - better just keep myself busy at work today.
Fasting today, fast number 7. I had apple instead of banana with my meusli. Now coffee. I'm off into the garden to dig up the pumpkin patch and plant broad beans. And yes, it get's easier.
Here for my normal Monday fast. I seem to have settled into Monday and Thursday. I've had porridge and tea and my plan now is to sort out the top shelf in my wardrobe. I've been putting it off but today's the day!
I'm fasting too and it's only my second. I am back to work tomorrow after a few weeks off after surgery (having a lesion removed from your tongue is a great (not) way to lose weight!)so I thought I would do it while not working. Will try on a work day thursday I think....
Cathy.
It does get easier...not a whole bunch easier but definitely easier. My biggest change is being comfortable with the feeling of hunger when I am NOT fasting. I am not eating as much on those days. Losing maybe one or two pound every two weeks.
I'm in for my second fast and trying to keep my mind busy till I have something really light at 12 midday, will it be eggs or porridge. Have to check out the cals. I've had 35 cals and its only 10.30 am.

And done! I now have a throw out bag, a charity bag and a full washing machine. I've now cleared out my entire bedroom over the past couple of weeks. I've packed away the Summer gear that was just a bit too tight. If in the Spring I find they are too big I won't be too upset!
My third fast today, trying to settle into a Monday and Thursday rhythm. Going to try and hold out until the evening because I think night-time snacking is the hardest to avoid. Glad to know so many others fast on Mondays - it should help to keep me on track if I know people all around the world are doing the same thing at the same time!
Yes, I'm in today too. Just worked out it's my 17th fast.
It definitely does get easier to fast, mind you I still look forward to my 6pm meal!
Been for my swim, it's such a lovely morning again in Sydney.
I have had a very social time the last two weeks, lots of Birthdays, so am now needing to get my feast days a bit more realistic.
But, it is such a nice feeling to be able to work the fast days around outings.
I just need to learn to eat like a slim person on feast days!
Have a successful fast day everyone.
I'm here too, having my first coffee of the day, looking forward to vegetable soup at dinner time.

Byoung, it does get easier. You'll work out what works best for you. :clover:

Have a successful fast day everyone!
