Moogie, I just read your reply!

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! May you always be happy, healthy, wealthy and have free time for each other!!!
Fishbaum so sorry to hear about your friend.

Way to go FatDormouse! :like: Scales are such liars. I guess that's why I step on mine all the time, trying to squeeze the truth out of it!

Happy Anniversary Moogie!!

So far so good today. Lunch is past. Really not that hungry today. Congrats to those who have finished the day, and luck to those still working on it.
Happy anniversary moogie hope you have had a lovely day x
Currently going into my 12th week. Finding todays fast quite easy although this isn't always the case! Whereas I would usually have a small something for lunch and dinner (and find it quite difficult to not want more!) instead I just had a cup of tea when I woke up then an options choccy sachet drink at lunchtime. For my evening meal I did some prawns with a little rice and had saved myself around 100 calories for a little treat, but so busy after putting daughter to bed I dont think I will bother. Instead will treat myself to a long shower and an early night.
Well done all on todays fasting club!!x
Happy anniversary Moogie - big congrats! I'm fasting today too - trying my first ever water only 36 hour fast - not sure I am a fan (went on a long walk earlier and felt AWFUL) but I am determined to see it through, if for no other reason so that I know I can :-) happy fasting day everyone :-)
Third fast day today, made it through :-) and trying not to feel discouraged by my first weigh in only showing a 0.5lb loss. Might have had something to do with not monitoring my non fast days whatsoever! Do any of you guys calorie count on a `normal' day? X
Aaagh, stomach rumbling think I'll go to bed and dream of what's for breakfast tomorrow. Lol  I've not been as busy as normal and definitely found fast day more difficult.

Anyway, good luck to everyone else fasting today.

Sally
Just had cup of tea to end my fast for today and had a few cals left so treated myself to half a spoon of sugar in it. Am definitely finding it easier the longer I've been doing 5:2. Got loads done round the house today after a breakfast of 1 oatcake and cup of tea I did 2 loads of washing and was able to peg out and get it dry. Mowed the lawn for the first time this year so it was hard work as had to keep emptying the grass box, edged the lawn then went out front and weeded the driveway. Had a cup a soup at lunch then did hour and a half of ironing. When I first started 5:2 there was no way I had that much energy on a fast day so all those just beginning hang in there as it does get better.
Post Mortem on the crustless quiche - it was beautiful coming out of the oven, tasted great...but I'm not sure it was as filling as say a large salad with chicken! Definitely a keeper recipe though. I found it on a website called sparkrecipe, com.
Hmmm finished my dry fast today without a hitch. Broke my fast at aroun 8pm or so with a tall glass of cold water. Had myself a low calories veggie sub on a great tasting whole wheat bread with a large side salad. Glad to say I'm stuffed and the fast was quite easy despite the smell of lasagna cooking in the kitchen for the family lool.

Dry fasting seem to be a good trick for me I find, a bit tired here and there but it helped in dimishing any sort of hunger since waking up. Kudos to everyone as well and congratulations on your anniversy Moogie- what a great feat!!

In regards to your question Beckiecc101, I don't necessarily count on feed days a bit too anal for me. However I do keep a rough track of what I'm consuming- I find having an eating window whilst eating a sensible amount certainly helps. For example I usually don't eat til 3 or so and finish off around 10 so that makes an 8hr feeding window. Nothing set in stone tend to play around with it as I'm not much of a breakfast person. Hope that helps!
Whew....long day and having saved my calories for dinner which didn't happen until 8:30, the soup was welcome. Definitely feeling more and more that this way of eating (or is it way of life?) is something that I can maintain. I noticed during the day that my mental acuity seemed sharper than usual and that while speaking to a large group I was able to maintain a bit more presence of mind than usual...wonder if this is a side-effect of hormesis. In any case, it is welcome, haha.
