Fasting today, I'm 17 hours on water so far, I just need to keep busy and ignore the hunger reminders for a few more hours. It's so great to not be alone in this. Good luck everyone, Monday is a perfect day for fasting after the weekend.
Usual Monday fast as soon as the sun comes up here....and another big weigh in. 8th week for us.
add...we each lost another lb. :victory:
Fasting too - start of week 6. And for the first time, I haven't raced to eat my soup as soon as 12 midday hit - usually I can get through the fast, but there are a lot of hunger pangs. Today has been really easy for whatever reason, and it's past 1pm and still haven't touched food! I may be able eventually to do the one meal per day thing.
I know exactly what you mean gigi55 , I have been finding the fast days easier than the feast days for the past month and need to reset myself. Sitting in the park having "lunch". Isn't this autumn weather magnificent?
My 2nd fast today. 20 hours into it and started to getting really hungry/grumpy and thought I'll come get some motivation here! Great!!!

And interesting how many Ozzies are here on a Monday.
Lots of water so far. Made me some rooibos tea to keep warm

Well done CHOOK on the cupboards, I'm starting with my chores now to keep busy and burn calories while doing it

gigi55 "My biggest change is being comfortable with the feeling of hunger when I am NOT fasting.".. YES on that! I hope it will last though?

Great weather in Brisbane too Pilchards, one just want to be outside all the time
Great to see so many newer fasters here! Hi UN2NET, I'm just up the "hill" from you in Toowoomba. We're having glorious autumn weather too, loving all the blue skies and warm sun after a wet end of summer.
I love it there! 6 years in a row we've been to the flower show there.
I might go mow the lawn as ironing is not getting my heart rate up and I'm struggling a bit today with the hunger. But I'll do it!
I had 4 litres of water so far...
I'm fasting again today. Since I've been trying to switch from 4:3 to 5:2, my fast days keep moving around. I'm all over the place. This past week, I had 4 parties in 7 days! I managed to fit in fast days ok, but I'm so worried about gaining weight, I'm doing this extra fast day this week. It's a holiday in Japan, but I'm working. Anyway, so far so good with the fast. I did some gardening before coming into work. I probably should have saved it until later when I get hungry, as seems to be inevitable.
You lot certainly do make fasting much more manageable lol. Glad to see fellow fasters!

I too will be fasting. I find that when I dry fast (.i.e. No liquids) til about night fall the -ve side effects are limited. I find I get nauseous and quizy with the over-consumption of water between waking up and dinner and oddly enough leads to being peckish as well. Can't wait til dinner lol and it's only 1am here in Toronto!

I'll be sure to check in,good luck everyone

Beautiful here too! I have just weeded the veggie/herb patch. Pulled out all the dead stuff after another dry summer. Found the first red strawberries under some weeds. Hurrah! Usually I am at work so trying to keep busy with chores outside to keep me out of the kitchen- sitting with tea and iPad in the backyard. I have lost count of fast days - I am not really hungry anymore but habits are hard to break. I have soup waiting for me after my next bit of gardening.
Going for my first fast today! Been working out what to eat all day as I'm a grazer usually, but I think I can still eat a fair amount!
Oh yum Caro, strawberries! Were you tempted to test a few? I also headed out into the garden, weeding the veggie/herb patch and tidying up the chook/duck run a bit.
Isn't the flower festival beautiful UN2NET? One of my favourite events in Toowoomba. I must say though, in winter I head down the hill to BrisVegas to defrost pretty regularly. It gets a bit nippy up here on the hill!
Another one fasting today. Not sure yet whether I am
Aiming for 24 or 36 hours. Either way, I only do black coffee/herbal tea/water on fast days until the evening, so I'll see how I feel.

Good luck everyone!
I´m in too! I had a breakfest and next time I´ll eat is tomorrow morning. :) Usually, I have 3 small meals during fast day, but now I´ll try 24 h without eating. Let´s see how it goes.

Have a nice day all!
Not sure yet, LOL!
I'll be out and about all day so perhaps I will have to do a half fast (1000 calories) since it's also Lent so I can't just grab anything to eat.
I have tomorrow and Wednesday as possible fasts as well and I'll see how it goes.
Being the week before Easter, with many things to do and plan, I have to be very flexible (which I hate because I prefer to know exactly what I'm doing and when).
