I fasted today. It is really getting easier. I had white tea and coffee until 12.30pm. At lunch i had a bowl of laksa soup with tofu. More tea in the afternoon and carrot sticks to curb my afternoon hunger niggle. Then a large Asia salad and a bowl of delicious vegetable soup. A cup do tea before bed. All added up to 500 exactly and I was very satisfied. I can't believe I'm finding this so easy. Weigh day tomorrow - fingers crossed I will be pleased.
On my second fast today.
Aiming for a full 24hrs before eating this time.
I found on my first fast that having a small amount of soup at lunchtime just made me hungry for the rest of the afternoon. So liquids only for me until 8.00pm fingers crossed I can make it through!
I'm in! On my 8th fast day. Energy level is better than it has been. Hunger pangs not bad at all! Good fast everyone!
Fasting today! Third one and all going well. I split the meals am and pm as that works best with my exercise routine. First weigh day tomorrow....
Also on my 8th fast day today - not intended but it is already 3.35 pm and I have only had 235 calories, so I'll have a nice light chicken and veggie meal this evening. I really do like the flexibility of 5:2 as I seem to eat as and when it suits me. Also no more daily calorie counting since Monday - what a pleasure!
Just realised that I haven't eaten anything since the morning so gonna fast again :)
It's 2 days in a row and not ideal but I don't feel hungry so it should be alright!
Now I can look forward to a fast-free weekend :D
This is my first fast today and I'm finding it hard at times but mostly manageable. I had an egg white omelette at nine o'clock this morning and haven't eaten since (it's nearly 2 o'clock for anyone not UK based) but I think I will have to have a small lunch because I realistically won't be able to go through without anything until dinner.
Fasting today. On Monday I managed to stick to my fast even though I was on a course which was held in a vegetarian restaurant; I went for a walk while everyone else ate. Luckily the course was Tuesday as well so I could indulge then. Just getting ready to go for a run; got my 5x50 challenge mileage to clock up.
I am fasting. I managed to go around Sainsbury's on an empty stomach and not feel compelled to buy all manner of goodies. Self control. I has it! ;)
I'm fasting too, I think it's my 6th. I agree the fasting (the psychological bit) does get easier, especially the second one of the week and being able to look forward to the weekend. But I am struggling for some reason today with a headache I can't shake. I've taken 2 doses of Nurofen and have been sipping on liquids all day, so it isn't dehydration. Caffeine intake is the same as it's always been. It may be allergy-related. Whatever, I just wish it would go! I don't think food would help. Good luck all.

it's my second fast too and i'm dying at the minute haha, how are you doing? ditto about the small amounts making me hungrier, i'm having an omelette at 8! :like:
Today is my 9th fast as I am wrapping up my first month of 5:2.

I generally feel quite energetic on fasting day until late afternoon-early evening. I don't eat at all during the day so I look forward to my evening meal. In fact, I found myself looking forward to fasting day.

I know many of you have already completed your successful day, good work!
Fasting going well here today. For some reason I seem to find it easier to fast when I'm at home than when I'm at work. Maybe the lie-in until 11am had something to do with it!
A fast day here too. This will be my last fast until May 13 as I'm going out of town on a business trip all next week and I don't see fasting happening while I'm there. I'll have to be vigilant about what I eat EVERY day while I'm away.

I've done 4 days in a row of strenuous boot camp workouts at 5:45AM. I'm aiming for #5 tomorrow morning! If my losses don't soon improve, I'm going to have to restructure my days a bit. I'm thinking I'm not eating enough on most of my feed days. All the exercise has my body in a bit of a panic, I'm thinking.

Have a good fasting day!
Having a good day so far, very busy work wise so no time to think about food! Have had just water and 1 black coffee all day! Looking forward to dinner around 6 which is today a Weight Watchers chicken lasagne and a salad. I don't normally go with ready meals but only me at home for a few days and I am feeling lazy and it is so easy when the calories are already counted!

Looking forward to first weigh in for a month on Sunday!

Another fast day on Monday then off to Turkey (all inclusive!) for a week on Tuesday so won't be doing any fasting there! Although I will be aiming to skip the odd lunch and breakfast just to keep things under control!

Good luck for the rest of the day everyone!
