Hello everyone!
Second fast day for me (newbie alert! ) and I plan to make it a zero calorie fast day. My first fast day on monday was quite easy. I was hungry, but not unbearable hungry. Real hunger started with having my 400 calorie dinner, so why having dinner at all? Why not zero calories? That's at least what I try today! And until now, it's going well! :like:
Sorry to gatecrash - I'm not fasting but didn't want to start a new thread. @moogie re. masterchef. my money is on the girl!! I'm really willing her on!
dhana: Me too! I wanted Natalie to win from the start, that girl's got amazing natural skills and is so down to earth, she's gotta win it!

Monkeypenny: Well done on trying 0 cals on your second fast! Hope it goes well for you, but don't feel bad if you need to have something later, even if it's just a hot choc or something :) I hold one in reserve for tonight just in case, but my stubborn streak stops me having it!
Well I've survived lunchtime! Fortunately I think everyone must have had sandwiches so no nice cooking smells to make me feel hungry!
I've been out for a stroll round town in the sunshine buying last minute bits for my hols & I'm now sat back at my desk with a cup of buttermint tea (thanks for the recommendation wildmissus :like:)

Heres to a good, strong afternoon for us all

Don't give me any ideas!
But no, I wouldn't feel bad at all, I think. I'm far too staggered by this easy start-up phase.
Still going strong. Had my cup of buttermint tea (doesn't it smell and taste delicious!)in the sunshine soaking up the rays.
Finishing work early, so I will walk my dog, do some washing and hopefully another cup of tea in the afternoon sunshine.
I used to feel so cold on a fasting day but with this weather I feel so much better
Monkeypenny that's brilliant. I agree, sometimes my 500 calorie evening meals switches on my hunger so I think, "Why bother with it tonight?"

Still going strong here. House is hoovered, have worked some more, will soon pick my daughter up from school and then that's me super busy and occupied until her bedtime at 7pm. Will log in again after she's asleep and I hope I'll find the energy and strength to stay food-free tonight!
Still going strong here too  All 3 kids due home at 5pm so will be super busy after that and have prepared them a lasagne which will be an easy dinner for me to ignore as I'm not overly keen on it myself  I agree that the sunshine makes this fasting malarkey so much better-a nice sit in the sun with a glass of cold water is so much nicer than the constant cold feeling I used to get.
Am feeling positive and determined today and am keeping busy to take the edge off those occasional pangs of "feed me!!".
Keep going everyone, all positive vibes coming through today  xx
Whilst I am not fasting, finished mine yesterday, I am with you all in spirit. I have finished eating now til tomorrow lunchtime so I am hitching a ride with you all for part of the journey.

Good luck and just think how good you will all feel in the morning,
:victory: :victory: :victory:

I'm in. Although I'm not 5:2 at this point. I'm new to your forum and right now am on an extended raw live juice fast.
So how's everyone doing - we're entering the danger zone - although not for me yet as I'm still at work for another few hours. Sigh. The warmer weather definitely helps!

Alessha Sattiva - class name - what does 'raw live' mean - are you eating stuff that's still alive?! You must have lost a lot of weight. You might want to check out MGMs thread on extended fasting. I'll see if I can find a link.
Redhead, well done on your booze fast.
Was it hard?
Did you feel better for it?
Almost time to cook dinner for hubby now. Not that fussed, I'll eat tomorrow :)

Got loads done today - tidied the house, did some laundry, cleaned one of the fish tanks, hoovered (sorry, dysoned) the house, cleaned the kitchen & washed up, threw out a load of stuff... a more productive day than I'd normally have - plus did some work and a few bits around the forum :)

Tonight I shall pass the time by shopping online for some nice new accessories for my newly decorated downstairs cloakroom :D
I'm in today, have found today easy as usual and not feeling peckish yet despite just feeding the kids! Wasn't sure if I'd have a meal today, but seems normal already to not bother! Was offered cup of tea earlier and said yes before I remembered I was fasting and declined! Looking forward to waking up tomorrow and enjoying a bagel for breakfast! Good to see so many people here for encouragement! Happy fasting all and good luck to those trying this for the first time :0)
