Well I survived the night & this mornings WI shows a loss of 2lb this week

Well done to everyone who completed it :like:
Morning all :)
Still haven't broken my fast, just not feeling very hungry yet and want to wait until my body asks for something specific rather than just eating for the sake of it.

Last night I thought I'd have fried egg on toast for breakfast - now I just don't seem to fancy anything in particular. Too warm today for porridge.

No major loss this morning - scales about 200g down, but considering I didn't do a proper fast on Monday and just how much I ate last weekend I'm just glad not to have gained!

Now, what to eat? Done about 38 hours now (from the time of the two fruit shortie biscuits I ate on Wednesday evening at the start of Masterchef ;)).
Late post for me - sorry gang ! left too early this morning to get on here before heading out! Managed to go through to 10 am this morning - so that's a bit over the 36 hrs, just cos I wasn't hungry so was waiting until lunchtime. Then someone came round offering muffins ....... so I caved in to a blueberry one, rather than a chocolate one. How delicious was that !!! Not too sure what I'll be doing next week due to Bank Holiday Monday and birthday celebrations on Thursday, may shuffle my days around, may miss one out. I'll see what my weigh in is like in the morning and then decide  Have a great Spring Bank Holiday weekend - all those of us in the UK that is - hope it stays this sunny 'cos it's glorious in Surrey at the moment
Hello one and all! I joined you for my first 36 hour fast too yesterday and found it surprisingly liberating and revitalising! Will deffinatley do it again probably next Thursday, while keeping my Mondays down to 500 kcals (or less) as an evening meal. It's great to hear about everyone's journey and it helps me keep motivated.
Not quite sure if this should go under this topic or another but I have done two 36hour fasts this week, Tuesday and Thursday, and on Wednesday and Friday I have had a real 'sugar rush' after eating my evening meal, in that I have wanted / desired/desperately needed sugar. I mean chocolate, meringue shells .. anything I can find in the house!!
I'm not sure that this is the result of 36 hour fasts, :?: but ?? I feel so much better from not eating 36hours but if I listen to my body it doesn't seem to feel the same!
Any ideas, views??
It is amazing to see so many people are able to go without food for 36+ hours. I was telling my neighbour about my fast and she said there was no way she could go without her 3 meals a day. I asked her if she had ever tried and of course she hadn't but just knew she wouldn't be able to. I wonder how many of us thought that way before we started this eating plan.
I would have been "no way", and it's taken a good couple of months of having 500 calories decreasing until down to none. The bonus of doing it gradually is its been pretty easy.

Though when I was broke, young and foolish, I went days without food, but smoked like a chimney. Not the healthiest way of doing it!
Here's the new liquid fasting thread, started by Suchard - come and join everyone over there!
