Me too
Starting fast day number 15.

I only eat breakfast on fast days: usually berries, unsweetened low cal greek yogurt, couple of slices wholegrain bread with some low cal ham, cottage cheese and veggies. And just green or white tea the rest of the day.

I know my hands will be cold in the evening. Hope that's a good thing...

Good luck and happy fasting to you all!
Welcome to the forums, Tangoflautist! I overindulged for Sunday night's dinner, so I too am looking forward to today's fast :-)
I'm fasting today too. It will be my second one of the week. It's just gone 7:30 in Riyadh. I've had my first cup of green tea and have just finished doing my morning walk (in the house while my daughter sleeps :))

I plan to have one meal at around five as usual. I didn't lose anything last week but know I've lost a couple of pounds since then. I won't log it though until my official weigh in day tomorrow.

Hope everybody's fast goes well :)
Monday's coming around for me too, this will be fast #5 for me so I don't expect any obvious weight loss this soon.
But I was amazed last Monday morning around 8AM, I was in a hurry to get to work and decided 1/2 a banana would be a good start.......wow did that ever work.
That and several cups of various herb teas kept me happy until about 2PM...6 hours, then I did the Strawberry and cottage cheese thing.

Then "rewarded" myself with the "big" evening meal...which now I've totally forgotten but the day came in around 500 cals.
Like others here, keeping busy seems to be a real help in allowing one to not concentrate on food, that's one reason I picked Mondays (and Thurs) since Monday is typically busy in the workplace.
My only problem, the day after fast day, I make a pig of myself! Hope I can break that habit, but it does follow the theory in the book that our primitive ancestors probably had weeks of feast or famine, day to day, and not 3 squares a day.
Hey where are all the guys on here? Is the forum to "touchy feely", I think its great.
Cheers
Dick
Hi Dick. There is a men only thread somewhere in the forum and apart from that plenty of other men around too :)
Welcome Mad Dick II
You're doing well! Seems to be that the overdoing it after a fast day settles down, so I wouldn't be too concerned about it.
Yes, there are men! There's a men only thread floating about somewhere- I never look at it being a good girl ;)
Good luck and let us know ow you get on
Fast number 5 for me today. Lucky it is a fast day as I am sure it would have been and binge day. I feel really hungry. I wish I drank coffee. I am sure that is why so many report being energized on fast day. Straight caffiene. I hope Wednesday is easier. This is probably my hardest so far.
Hi Convert,For some reason I'm finding it harder today too. I've just eaten a very expensive! punnet of strawberries so hope it keeps me going till 6pm.
All the best, Gigi

My afternoon fast day hungriness is hitting. I should probably go for a walk.
Go for it MaryAnn, you can do it girl, we all can!

Fasting today with MIL visiting, shouldn't be too bad as I'm at work all day, Thursday coud be tricky though MIL still here & it's a bank holiday, but I'm in Cologne on business next week so I really want to get a headstart on that, I'm SO pleased with progress :)
Fasting for me as normal today, only one this week before I go off on holiday and deffo no fasting then. Good thing is all my holiday clothes now fit me again, bad thing, no excuses for shopping spree!

That's the one MaryAnn! I got it after hearing all the recommendations here and it has definitely lived up to its reputation. My eldest (teenage) daughter is a picky eater and so far she has loved everything we've cooked from the book!
Hey Wineoclock - I have lots of wineoclocks too LOL...day is 11.5 hours in for me so not long to go now! Been easy today, fat stocks must be up after the weekend
I'm fasting today as no one around at home but not hugely busy, just got studying to do so will be interesting to see how it goes as I normally go for really busy days but the fasts are getting easier so thought I would try it.
