First week, 2nd fast for me. Cottage cheese and tangerine for breakfast about 9am, then hopefully only liquid until dinner tonight. Planning a spinach and mushroom omelet with salad. Am using up my last 2 duck eggs so will be a bit more calorific than it should be but will try and compensate.

Good luck everyone :clover:
Second fast of the week for me, I'm going to make lunch in a bit, I'm really hungry! I'm having lunch and dinner today, need to keep busy this afternoon as time seems to be moving very slowly for me today, but then again it's the first day my son is back at school after nearly three weeks of holiday so I don't have him to keep me busy LOL.

Good luck everyone!
I'm here, saving my calories for lunch and dinner. Supposed to be going out for a couple of drinks with friends this evening, but I've volunteered to drive so will be on the diet coke. (Nice dodge without having to explain myself!) I'm thinking of changing Thursday fasting to Fridays, I don't tend to go out on Fridays but I do tend to go out on Thursdays!
Is it lunch time yet?
Morning all,
I'm in too, I think I'm going down with my son's cold, so lots of hot drinks to soothe my throat. Been for a 5km run and now feeling suitably smug. Curry for dinner, Chicken for the family and Veg and quorn for me.
Flubble (sorry if I got your name wrong) I love your av pic I have that as a drinks coaster especially for Friday nights

And Zi-ish, its not lunchtime unless you are in mainland Europe
Strange how so many of us start off with little breakfasts when we first do 5:2, then as we go on we drop breakfast entirely and maybe even lunch too. My lunch is usually home made soup, to keep OH happy more than anything, but I sometimes go through without till 6 ish.
I find I don't even think about eating on fast days now, almost forgot to have a cup of tea this morning! How about you?
Anyone else really hungry today? I feel like my stomach is a bottomless pit! Haven't had anything but water yet but I am very close to snacking on something to keep me going. An apple or banana can't do too much damage, right? Blasted hunger-switch... I'll have some tea.
Just popping in to say goodnight. Had my last cup of coffee with some saved milk. I've brushed my teeth which always means eating is over for the day. 'Night!

Hi. This is only my 5th fast but when I began I started with breakfast, lunch and dinner. Now I save my calories for dinner. I dont forget about eating but I'm not tempted to eat anything until later. Considering the liquid fast but will wait and see how the scales perform for me in the next week or so.

Yep! I am having a quiet day at home with my son, and there are biscuits in the biscuit tin. This is a dangerous time. I need to do something productive, like housework, to take my mind off it.
My first fast of 5:2. Have just had my lunch of vegetarian chicken noodle soup (made from fake chickens) and a fairly large cheese salad with very low-cal dressing. It's a bit of a surprise how much food you can get for 250 calories, if you make an effort. So, not too bad so far, but I'm dreading the after-dinner to tomorrow-breakfast period.

Still, this flab-o-rama has to stop and I think this is finally the way to end it.

Tomorrow is my birthday, The Boyfriend likes to make a fuss, and for the first time, I'm not dreading that the champagne and ice cream calories are going stay stuck on my thighs.

Fingers crossed . . .
Happy birthday! Enjoy every sip and every mouthful!
I have had a busy morning and just sat down with a mug of Dr Stuarts slimming tea and another mug of hot water to keep my water intake up and keep me warm inside. Keep with it fellow fasters, you can eat tomorrow!
:0)
Im in too.

Have had two cups of black coffee and just had a slim a soup before work. Work will keep me busy until 9.30, then its home for roast veg (no oil) with shredded corgette and half tin tomatoes.

This is my fourth fast. Has anyone else found that the more you fast the less calories you consume on fast days? X
Thank you, Sallyo. I'm rather surprised at how full I am after such a light lunch.

Maybe I'll tell The Boyfriend that I don't fancy any champagne and ice cream. Nah, won't happen.
