Fasting today Monday 10 June
09 Jun 2013, 22:35
Morning peeps, a bit quiet around here this morning. I suspect a lot of the Aussies are not fasting today as it is a public holiday in some states so I am looking forward to the Europeans waking up and jumping on board. Beautiful morning here today so planning a long walk with the dog followed by a date with the ironing basket(s) and an episode of Casulty. That should get me through to lunchtime. Happy Monday fasting everybody.
I am in.
Already cooked dearheart's spaghetti Bol sauce.
prepped my late lunch shredded lots of veggies for my bowl of Asian broth. Found I cruised with that formula last fast maybe the salty kick along with a proper coffee with coconut oil.
Celery soup for dinner
Off to walk our dog after my spicy lemon ginger tea. Thinking food as you can see!!!!
See you in the morning!
Just edited the title gillymary and Merlin. I had typed Monday 10 July instead of June n the subject line. My birthday is 10 July and I was thinking as I typed " only a month to my birthday"!
Ok so I didn't notice. Definitely time for bed!
I'm in! Trying a new technique today and going to see how long I can put off eating to increase the actual fast time (and so I don't get tempted to waste all my calories in the morning!).

This is my 5th fast. Usually I have a small breakfast, lunch & dinner because I get 'scared' of feeling hungry, but the last few fasts have been easier and easier.

Currently 11.30 and I'm not hungry at all - hoping to have a small snack mid-afternoon and then cruise through to a yummy dinner tonight!
waves from Japan. I've had my soft-boiled egg. Now nothing but maybe a miso soup until dinner. And for that I need to hit the grocery store. why do i do this to myself?
Yes it's a Public Holiday here in Brisbane so I will fast tomorrow however I was very excited to do my first weigh in today with a loss of a kilo I was very happy with that as I feel my lifestyle has not changed apart from 2 fast days and mindset changes regarding portion sizes.

To those fasting today hope it all goes well for you.
 Oh maryann
I sometimes do the same, heres a tip make a list and dash in and out quickly. Some of my biggest shops have been on fast days.

Pilchards I didn't notice :geek: did not have my glasses on so thanks might have been hard to find and here is hoping by 10 th July we are all much lighter :)
I'm in. I've been for a walk and now I'm putting off sewing up the hems on a new pair of microfleece pants by reading the board!
I just came back from my granddaughter's 13th birthday party. We had
Chinese food and ice cream cake so I'm looking forward to my fasting day tomorrow (Monday). I'm also doing 18:6 so my fast day will fit into that schedule.
Yes I'm fasting today. Even though I usually fast on Mondays I wasn't planning to since it's a public holiday - but then I slept in and decided I'd just fasted for over an hour without even knowing about it, so I'd use that 'free pass' and continue fasting today!

I have some yummy tomato and lentil soup in the freezer for this afternoon, and tonight I'm going to try making cauliflower rice for the first time. Hmmm ... what to have with it... will check my new 5:2 recipe book which I bought on impulse this week.

Happy fasting everyone :like:
Happy birthday to the Queen and thank you for the public holiday - although I don't work Mondays so it isn't really.
I'm in. I had 100gm of yogurt, 30 gm of meusili, (without any dried fruit), (recipe from the book.)(such a small amount of meusli!) and one bottled plum. I've sat down to a cup of rosehip tea and I've tidied the living room, read a week old Sunday Age, and I'm about to go out and cut back the leaves on the iris stylosa, to encourage it to flower. Keep busy. One poached egg with a very small amount of ham and salad for dinner.
I think I'm the first European to declare a fast today.
I only managed one fast day last week due to being at a conference and having to go to planned dinners and lunches a couple of days.
My daughter was also visiting, and wanted to go for lunch the other days.
I'm looking forward to my fast today.
Good luck everyone.
Hi all!
I'm in today as usual.
I didn't go for my swim this morning but will go tomorrow when it's meant to be sunny.
Decided to make a pot of carrot, celery, beetroot (plus a low salt stock cube) soup this morning and altered my normal routine by having a 50cal bowl of soup at 1pm.Yum.
So far so good!
Just water and tea now till 6ish when I'll have a chicken and veg stir fry followed by some strawberries and papaya, then a No Sugar hot choc.
Have a good day everyone.
