That's a fantastic idea for a breakfast, may have to join you on that on my next fast!

Today is my fast day too. We had friends over for a meal last night and had chilli con carne lasagna and pavlova. There's a bit left so I'm dreaming about that today but it will have to wait until tomorrow!
Silverdarling woaahhhh don't give me ideas

Lynzinthesun pea and mint frittata? Don't know what that is but it sounds more exciting than my omelette. Might give that a go.

Erappers sparkling water with ice and a slice?

Millal have a look at the 5:2 16:8 thread its quite long, we got a bit excited! I would recommend easing yourself in gradually though, don't take on too much at first.
I did it through a day with a surprising twist :(
Suitable garlic cauliflower soup and a vegetarian version of the lovely curry posted yesterday saved my challenging day.
Go through now until 1 pm tomorrow dependIng how I feel.
Hope everyone continuing on have a good fast
Wendy and Lynz - also quite like the sound of the mint and pea frittata, as I have frozen peas, and also 2 types of mint growing away in pots in all this RAINY weather we're having in Blighty, also eggs to use up

So - omelette, roast mushrooms or peppers ... Mint and pea frittata ... omelette ... Or frittata ... :?: :dazed: :starving:

...Must stop doing this to myself on a fast day!
I'm fasting today, finding it much easier than Tuesday's - I had a killer headache all day. Some days really are easier than others.

Like the idea of pea and mint frittata, there is a recipe in Hairy Dieters I think that also has feta - might do that.

As I say to my Jewish friends on Yom Kippur - have an easy fast everyone!
Everyone sounds like they are doing well. I have had bouillon and a sugar free sweetie so far today. I have some watermelon slices for lunch and prawn/mange tout/mushroom stir fry for my evening meal. Not feeling too bad actually. a little rumble here and there but nothing major.
This is only my second fast and I am finding it easier than I thought i would.
Morning fellow fasters, I'm in today though a half hearted fast as I'm feeling a bit delicate lol...good luck all
Bee,heavy night last night or just poorly?
Seriously rumbly here. I have made my emergency veg soup, so I know it is now available, just wish it didn't smell so good.
Going window shopping for clothes to get me past the lunchtime "hump"
I'm really stuggling today, its a lot harder than Tuesday was. I've managed to go until 12.15 and had some porridge but still so hungry! Its a long way until 6.30pm for my dinner, hopefully work will be busy this afternoon so I don't think about it!
Day nearly over here. It was a easy fast this time. Gee i'm glad I discovered those miso soup sachets. They make all the difference. We had eggs cooked in a tomato/capsicum type sauce. It was from the official 5:2 fasting diet recipe book. Pretty satisfying.
We are in also ! Some friends have stopped doing the 5/2 because the weight loss isn't fast enough ! Hmmm. I guess they want to loose faster and put it back on and then some when the diet isn't sustainable. My husband and I are doing great with this new WOE. Let's do this :)
Hi there, I'm fasting today too but I'm feeling guilty as what I have just eaten tastes too good to have on a fast day! Had a protein shake for breakfast and just made an Italian style stir fry with mushrooms, celery, radishes, spring onions and rinsed drained zero noodles - put the lot on top of a bed of rocket with the teeniest drizzle of healthy oil and some torn basil leaves - and stirred in a teaspoon of basil pesto mixed with a teaspoon of 0% greek yoghurt - teaspoon of flax seed on top and a good grating of blackpepper - all for 68 calories :) Smug? moi?
I'm in today too. Day off work, so I'm sat at home trying to catch up on forums I haven't been on for a few days.

Good luck everyone! :clover:
I'm in today too. Imocat that sounds yummy - is the full recipe on here somewhere ? I'm on my 7th week 5:2 and I have to say it's much easier than I thought. Not too much weight to lose but the middle age spread was definitely spreading ! I have just discovered green tea... weirdly we've had it in the cupboard for ages and I didn't like it ... but now I find it ok and warms me up when I get cold (as I do !). When I started 5:2 I had to have something for breakfast, after a few weeks I managed to last until lunchtime. Today I might last until early tea time. I also find the end of day hot chocolate tastes fantastic ! Good luck to all !
