Fasting today and looking forward to my salmon and veggies, I have not had anything yet except water and a lemon green tea not too sure about the green tea but will try to have it on fast days as I have heard its very good for you,my tummy is getting abit rumbly now so roll on food time , I have been shopping and didnt even look at the lovely cake section so how good am I ha ha
I just want to check in and say how amazed I am at how easy today has been compared with Tuesday. I'm a 5:2 veteran but Tuesday I really struggled. I haven't really had a single rumble all day today!

So if you are struggling, do take heart that it isn't always like that.
My 37th fast (2nd this week) and 18th week (I've missed a day here and there because of working away)...weighing tomorrow morning. I've lost 9.3kgs so far but need a motivational loss again - a couple of pounds off this week would be very good news. A bit of turkey dry stir fried with Philli light and a tinge of Tikka paste with green veggies for supper. Yum!
My OH has just asked me to delay dinner so he can mow the lawn!!
Chicken Bovril to the rescue :curse:
Isn't Chicken Bovril the BEST?
Wonder why it is so hard to buy. I hope you have a small lawn :clover:
I'm in today but finding it tough, and for the second fast in a row I am a bit over :( I'm working much too hard at the moment I I think it's the tiredness that's making it so difficult but as my weight loss hasn't really got started (despite doing the WOE for nearly 3 months now) I really need to sort myself out.

Am in desperate need of comfort food right now but dinner is fish fingers and beans with a little cottage cheese so that should suffice.
I've been fasting today. Strangely today has gone better than Monday; it's usually the other way around. Unfortunately for Vodafone they chose a fast day to annoy me - not very sensible as my family know I am a bit snappy (youngest son) or aggressive (OH) on a fast day! Had quite a low cal day yesterday too as on a school trip so hoping that I've made up for the pig out earlier in the week.
I choose to fast on days where my OH works late so I don't have to watch him eat. That's what really winds me up.
I make my OH eat foods I don't really like or con't eat anyway when I'm fasting. It works out well for both of us, he gets pies and pizzas and spicy sauces (I don't tolerate wheat very well and hate chilli) and I don't care that he's eating more than me :)
Silverdarling, in the end I had fish, one I've never heard of before, River Cobbler. It was fantastic, had it with grilled portobella mushrooms stuffed with halved cherry tomatoes and some grilled peppers.

Mummybunny, glad you're feeling better and today was easier.

Mrstee and Carol, I love green tea, I have the Twinings flavoured one, tangerine and verbena. Well done for lasting out till tea time if you did. I also love that hot chocolate at bedtime
Wendy Darling - never heard of that one either! But sounds good! In the end I had a herb omelette with courgette shallot and mushroom in tomato sauce on the side. Feeling quite full now!
Almost there, another Fast day over, with enough cals left for a hot choc at bedtime. Trying not to think about tomorrow's food too far in advance
This is my third fast day as I just began 5:2 last week. I have done fine and am enjoying getting into a new routine.
Well I've struggled on and off all day today, generally I find Thursdays harder going than Mondays though. Have been up since 5am :( (DS off to the Isle of Wight Festival & of course the whole house was woken when he was getting ready grrrr, good job I love him!) so am ready for low cal hot choc and my bed now.
I failed miserably today : ( I've got a stinking cold and had to give up on fasting pretty early on cos all my body wants to do is eat comfort food. Back on the wagon tomorrow.
