I am in today and will be driving down to Glasgow from Highlands this afternoon (about 4 hours) so will enjoy a salad when I get there. I am meeting Dhana and Janeg for lunch tomorrow and then on to my brothers on Wednesday to spend two days at the Highland show in Edinburgh so will not be able to do another fast day this week.
My 3rd fast today. Had an apple and some miso soup for lunch. I plan to have a prawn and mushroom omelette for dinner. Nom.
Hey, a whole lot of new fasters today :) :)

Good luck to EVERYONE :clover:
I'm in. Going well so far :) sticking with water and black tea. Also am baking bread, sausage rolls and choc chip rock cakes... House smells divine but am staying strong. Welcome to the new fasters and good luck today everyone x
I'm in, too. May have stirfry for supper, or that eggs and broccoli sounded great also! Take Care all!
I'm on my 6th fast today. It's going ok so far - but I'm not sure how long I'm going to last. I've woken up with a full blown cold - blocked sinuses, headache, sniffles, sneezes - the lot.

Extremely annoying! What are people's thoughts on fasting with a cold? One side if me thinks I should eat for some energy, the other side seems to want to push on, as it's already almost 2pm anyway.

Anyway, hope everyone else gets on ok and has an easy day x
I'm in too. My first post seems to have disappeared into cyberspace.
Did one fast last week, the rest 16/8 - gained 3 lbs. Not best pleased but I hope it'll even itself out this week. Also planning to ditch the daily wine ritual (on feed days). 7 weeks til my holiday so thats potentially 7lbs of weight I could lose by then. Wish me luck. And good luck to all fasting today.
I'm in today too. This is the 7th week and I'm 7lbs down so am more than happy
The crop trousers I couldn't quite fit into last year I'm wearing with ease.
Another 3 or 4 lbs would be fine but I shall carry on to lose the full stone then there will be a bit of leeway.
Today I've had a bit of cottage cheese mixed with enough l/fat mature cheddar to flavour it, and chopped spring onion, on 2 Lidl crispbreads.

Tonight will be chicken breast, probably in a tomatoey sauce, with courgettes, peppers, maybe mushrooms. There should be enough cals for a couple of little potatoes or a spoonful of brown rice
We're using the zero noodles but don't want them every time. I haven't tried them as a pasta substitute yet, they seem much more like rice noodles to me.
Today's a fast day for me as well. Let's hope it's as easy as my last fast day (Thursday), because that was the easiest one yet! I think it's meaningful that I've now officially lost count of my total fast days. I could go back and look it up, but I know I'm beyond 10 now and I don't see the point in continuing to count.
today is a fast day for me!

Breakfast: cereal bar 90cals
lunch: 100g beansprouts, 1/4 red onion, 2 turkey slices and some soy sauce fried in frylight
Tea: chicken chow mein microwave meal!

I'm on nights atm and seem to find it a lot easier to fast!
I am so tired today though. Am home from work and can barely keep my eyes open. Had a full weekend though.
My first fast today! Have had a cereal bar and an apple for lunch. Not felt too bad to be honest and am actually looking forward to my salad for dinner this evening!! Just hope I manage the evening!
I was doing fine until a plate of cakes & chocolate biscuits with buttered scotch pancakes was placed in front of me :doh it seemed rude to refuse so I had two chocolate biscuits with a cup of coffee & half a scotch pancake. Supper will be meatballs & spaghetti from the M&S fuller longer range that will be 380 calories so I will be over 500 calories today. This is the first time I have succumbed to anything other than planned food on a fast day but this is the beauty of this WOE! I will 16:8 tomorrow to balance it out so two fasts of 16 hours each rather than a proper 5:2 fast of 24 hours.
I hope everyone else's day has gone well
Fasting today too. I'm doing almost a total fast - coffee and water, though I've included a spoonful of coconut oil in my coffee.
I have a friend staying though and she is REALLY into her food - she's currently cooking up a seafood pasta dish in a spicy tomato sauce... and it smells rather tantalising! I'm so happy though, that I no longer go crazy for food just because I haven't eaten for a few hours. It's really liberating that it's not such a big deal any more.

And of course, there's always tomorrow!
I'm in today!

Been fasting all day. Had 2 cups of coffee with a dash of milk and about 1 litre of sugar free peach squash.
Got a yummy mushroom omelette and salad planned for tea. I feel starving today so really looking forward to it.
Good luck and well done everyone else :)
