I'm in :) going to have a go at not eating until this evening. It seems so far away right now! But going to try and take my mind off it by keeping myself busy
I hope everyone has a great day :)

I'm in too, my usual Thursday Fast. I think it will be Prawns again for me for Dinner, you really do get a lot of Prawns for your calories. On my last Fast day a friend came round for a coffee and a chat at lunchtime which was a nice distraction, but meant I couldn't defrost a portion of my veggie soup which is what I have to ensure I am a nicer person in the 5pm to 6.30pm pre dinner window.
Good Luck everyone :clover:

Oh and I weighed yesterday 2 lbs lost last week 4 more to go to my original goal , but I think I will shift the goalposts when I get there

Bit of a busy day today so only checking in now. Have just had the Hairy Dieters' yummy Chicken Jalfrezi for dinner. I do heartily recommend the Hairy Dieters Cookbook for fast day meal ideas, lots of delicious under 500 calorie recipes and it's all real food!

Btw, saw my GP today and was happy to find her very positive towards 5:2! :like:

Hope everyone has a successful fast day! :clover: Stay warm Tasmanians, not much warmer here in Victoria, brrr!

Fasting here too. I really have to make this a good day as my Monday fast was not good. I think I had more like 1,000 cals that day. OY!

I need to make today a good one since I'll be playing golf and eating and drinking with abandon for the next 3 days. I have been looking forward to this weekend for a month! Lots of golf & good times with friends.

I'm in but not very busy so it's a bit of a struggle. I have no food with me here at work so I suppose it's just a case of eating my cals (and just that) as soon as I get home.

Keeping me going is the fact that I have stayed at a constant weight this week, not swung 5lb up and down, so I'm hoping for a drop on my Friday weigh-in.

I must keep telling myself that - bored and hungry :dazed:

Had a blow out yesterday when my cousin came to visit - lots of wine and rich food. This morning the scales are 1kg up! Hopefully that is 90% food in transit, but it certainly strengthens the resolve for today's fast!

I'm fasting today. I've not posted much at all before but I've got to SHOUT OUT how my #asthma seems to have all but dissapeared - even in this time of high pollen (Wales) . I've had asthma forever - steroids etc but I'm #asthma free!!!! (hashtag overkill?).
I've lost 9.97kg since Jan 07 2013 with my waist now down from 34" to 28" thanks to 5.2. I started on underactive #thyroid meds in Jan too (50mg) which has probably helped. I'm over the moon with the new me!
This week - my #cholestrol test was slightly higher (5.6 to 5.9) and the Doc says I need to take 75mg thyroxin as I'm slightly more 'underactive' now.....
Any thoughts anyone?

I am in too. 4th fast for me and by jingo1 my tummy is rumbling. I plan to have miso and melon for lunch and then salmon and steamed veg followed by 10 cal jelly and an options later. Friday is Weigh day so I do hope my last 2 days of eating haven't messed things up.

Good luck everyone.

Survived! Had a kind of potato/leek/cauliflower chowder made with fish stock and the prawns for dinner. Thanks for all the good suggestions everyone. There was a recipe in the Donna Hay magazine which I bought yesterday. I modified it - left out the sour cream and used prawns instead of salmon cause I had them in the fridge, left over from Tuesday's fast. It was warming and good for a cold night. Gee I love those miso soup sachets! I'm so glad I discovered them. I don't get that fierce hunger around 5pm anymore.

I'm in as well as I couldn't yesterday.

It is a near liquid fast as I'll eat a chinese soup tonight (there's noddles, black mushrooms and carrots in it)

I am beginning to feel hungry but I won't take anything as I know it will only make things worse

I think what makes it more difficult this time is the fact that I stop smoking since a few days

I'm fasting today - I usually find my Thursday fasts easier than my Tuesday ones. On Tuesdays I'm usually coming off a weekend of "eating what I want" and am usually less busy than on Thursdays. On Thursdays I'm usually in back to back conference calls most of the day anyway so I wouldn't have much time to eat in any event.

Yesterday was not a good day - I was doing 16:8 and while I kept strictly within the eating window, what I ate wasn't all that wholesome (macaroni cheese plus some mango for lunch, a giant chocolate chip shortbread cookie from Starbucks on the train home - loved every crumb but had a headache afterwards, what was I thinking?! - and popcorn for "dinner". Carb-tastic or what? Anyone who knew me would know my DH must be traveling for me to be eating like that.)

I've decided on 75g pasta, 113g tomato sauce, and 25g parmesan cheese for my dinner. Knowing what I'm going to have for dinner makes things so much easier!

So far so good without lunch - I've just been to Sainsburys and bought myself some yummy prawns and stir fry veg to look forward to for dinner :) in the meantime I have another 2 and 1/2 hour dentist appointment to distract me!!
