Allic- yes, today's fast due to Pancake Day tomorrow and then fasting Wednesday so I can go out for dinner on Valentine's Day! Nice to have this flexibility, isn't it?
It will be appropriate too, to have a fast day on the first day of Lent.
Morning all! I've been looking forward to this fast, feel like I really ate badly this weekend and what with this week being 'that time of the month' I don't expect to lose anything but really hope I haven't put anything on.

I am :) We're having dinner out with friends on V day so Wednesday seemed a better idea than trying to do a Friday night ;) I may do a half fast on Friday depending on how stuffed I am from dinner (gong without eating until dinnertime).

I'm in a bit of a dilemma as I usually weigh on a Friday morning, after my 2nd fast - it gives me the most encouraging results :) Obviously after a big Valentine's dinner is probably not a good time to weigh in so I'm wondering about doing Thursday morning as it's the day after my 2nd fast. I guess I could do Thursday and Saturday weigh ins and average them out maybe. I've got the same problem in a couple of weeks with a friends birthday meal on the Thursday so I'd be fasting on the Wednesday.

Hi everyone,
I'm fasting today. Started last week, so it's my third fast day. Not too bad so far, looking forward to meal tonight. I don't usually drink a lot of water, it's usually herb teas (I hope tey are alright on ths plan), so that's something I have to learn. Haven't weighed since I started; I'm a bit apprehensive! I plan to weigh at the end of this week i.e. after four fast days. I hope it works for me.
Second week for me. Weighed in this morning, 2 lbs down but waist still the same. :? Trying to have a longer fast today by waiting as long as possible before eating. Going out shopping for a new chair so it may help to pass the time. Mondays and Thursdays for me.
I'm fasting today. Normally fast on Mondays and Wenesdays as I find it easier when not at work. I weigh on a Monday before 1st fast. This week for the first time except over Christmas I have put on a pound. Haven't done anything different although a bit 'bunged up' in the toilet department( sorry if TMI). I also wonder if although I am 61 I still have a bit of a cycle going on as I always got a bit constipated and never lost weight 'that week' when I was younger. Hopefully normal service of 1lb per week will be restored next week
Today's my second fast and it's a struggle so far. I'm hungry but going to work through it and not run to the cake tin.
So far have resisted the urge to weigh and will wait till Thursday
Going to have a cupasoup for dinner, about 70 cals then pork with veg for tea.
Looking forward to tomorrow and being able to eat pancakes :lol:

I'm sticking to meals suggested in the 5:2 book and having breakfast then a 12 hour gap until dinner, with just black coffee, herb teas and a cup of hot marmite drink (5 cals) at 'lunch'. Not hungry yet and have resisted the birthday chocs in the staff room too!
I weigh on Friday morning at the moment, mid eating days, and have lost 3 3/4 pounds so far.

Marmite drink vs cupasoup , think ill give marmite a chance and save some calories
Hi Everyone, I'm fasting today, 3rd week in and 6lbs down :D Feeling a bit peckish now but soup for lunch followed by quorn burgers (only 60 cals each) and steamed veg. Looking forward to pancakes tomorrow!!
Today is going verrrrrrrry slowly. Daydreaming about being able to tuck into dinner of Hairy Bikers Easy Crispy Chicken and Cumin crusted roasted vegetables this evening and blow all my calories in one delicious go!

Not doing anything for valentines day (our wedding anniversary is at the start of February so we do a romantic dinner then!) but Friday me and a few friends are going to a spa for the afternoon and they lay on tea and cake, which of COURSE I'll be indulging in, totally guilt-free!

Hubby was chuffed last night - we saw some friends we've not seen in about a month and they were saying how much weight he'd lost and how good he looked. I was all layered up with warm clothes so it probably wasn't so evident with me ;)
Hi All,

I am fasting today. My third fast and so far feeling really good. Had a paoched medium sized egg and slice of toast so far. Will probably have either a low cal soup (50 cal) or a 40 cal hot chocolate then larger bowl of soup followed by fruit for dinner. Also looking forward to pancake day :)
6th week of fasting and a milestone event as I have officially lost a stone since I started on 7th January (now 11 stone 10). My target is 11 stone 7 so only 3 lbs to go..

Fasting on coffee and zero sugar energy drink until evening meal, but as I am travelling from Staines to Yorkshire at around 4pm it'll be a supper! Light Lasagne (hopefully without horse) with veg for me..
