Hi everyone. I'm fasting for the first time today. Had porridge for breakfast and planning on having a light dinner at 7. I'm quite excited! Plan to have just water throughout the day and maybe a lemsip (bad cold :( )
Hello everyone fasting today.
I am fasting on Monday & Friday this week. I am usually at home on a fast day but will be going to my beading group this afternoon where there will be cakes! So I will have to muster willpower to resist. I eat one meal in the evening so I am looking forward to fish pie, hey I know it has potatoes in it but its easy to cook & keeps me out of the kitchen.

No it shouldn't as the cals are v low...about 5 I think...check the packet...
Hi All

I am fasting today and again on Thursday. I did Monday and Wednesday last week (so I could go out for a meal on Thursday) and really haven't got on with it. So I am going back to my usual days. For me it was too long between my Wednesday and Monday fast and I feel like I have put on a bit of weight.

I also have a gallstone which I call Joss, and she has been playing up so I know on my fasting days that she will not play up as I am having very little in the way of fat.

It's now my fourth week of fasting, I don't have specified days of when I'm fasting but I do at least two days a week. I have now lost 8 pounds even though I pig out once a week! I still find the fasting days a little harsh though...
Good luck everyone! I'm fasting today as tomorrow is pancake Tuesday so I couldn't possibly fast then!
Fasting here too, week 6. Joltek don't worry too much about half term. I find once I'm in the mind set for a fast it doesn't bother me that other things are available. I work from home so temptation is always around!
So far I've done an hour or so of outside jobs, mucking out etc, having a cuppa now. I usually have some veg soup at lunch time then a small omelette with salad in the evening.
Tomorrow we have a meal out with church, always delicious, before Lent begins on Wednesday.

HI everyone! I had to skip my Thursday fast as I managed to damage my thumb in the car door and was on painkillers last Thursday - didn't think it was the best combo!

I'm feeling a little apprehensive fasting after the break - will it seem harder? - what if I need to take more painkillers?

I have a bought in meal for dinner tonight for the first time (M&S cod curry thing) which theoretically leave enough calories for me to have soup for lunch, I'm not sure if I should though - I wonder if I'm less tempted to eat if I wait till the evening?

Yes, me - am off to Paris for a long weekend with BF on Thursday. Not for Valentine's Day, it just worked out like that with the babysitters availability.
Fasting today, missing breakfast and having a 98 cal soup for lunch and prawns for dinner :P
Yes this is my first fast today, so far so good (although it is only 10:25)!! I'm aiming to drink water and black coffee, then something to eat this evening, probably chicken breast and veg.
3rd Fasting day today, bouyed by loosing nearly 5lb in the first week, which is great considering the "normal" days Fri Sat Sun were excessive.

Going to try the eat one meal in the evening again, it seems okay, the hunger does pass, but opening the fridge to put stuff away was hard this morning!

Today fasting and Wednesday instead Thursday because of Valentine's day. I love my fast days. Will have poached eggs on toast with salad Yum. Really have to stick to 2000cal during normal days. When I feel like going over I remind myself how good it is not to have a tummy ache.I walk a lot and I have more energy. :)
Weigh in day and fast day for me. I'm soooo happy, week 5 and I've lost 4lb. I was struggling a bit as twice I'd put weight on, joining the forum has helped a lot. Concerned about this week as the kids are off school up here and I have the week off work. Breakfast is ok as it is usually help yourself to what you want but I'll need to make them lunch and not have anything myself!

I am fasting today as I have a busy weekend coming up so need to get my fasts in early. I also had forgotten that tomorrow is pancake day so that's worked out well...

So far only coffee and water and all's well!
