In bed now, starving and tummy rumbling. Don't usually even get this on a fast day. I think I must have over (or underdone) the carb intake today. Hope this is worth it. Hoping for a good result on the scales in the morning.

Having a go today at lowish carb. I can't eat breakfast before work at 5am, just too hard, so I have some natural yoghurt, berries, chia, LSA and an apple which I hope will see me until lunch. A low carb brekky is my biggest problem really, as I am restricted to what I can pick up in the mess, although I am going to get some low GI spelt porridge which should help if I soak it overnight.
I have gone back to having brekky to stop me overdosing on sweet things later in the day. We'll see if it works given my spectacular sugar attack last time!

@Debstry a couple of slices of turkey/ham rolled with a slice of cheese for breakfast. Roll them up the night before and pop in a baggie so you can grab and go. Also bullet coffee keeps you going for quite awhile.

the yoghurt, berries and an apple are a perfect breakfast when doing low carb Debs.

I roll a couple of slices of Turkey/Ham with Cheese and tomato on lettuce, makes for a tasty lunch, perhaps adding some pickles or cucumber to taste.

Best of luck.

cheers
Maggie

Quick question for you all, prompted by @wendy darling's comment about fibre.
How do you all balance low carbs with enough daily fibre?
It's always been a problem for me, which is why I 'sacrifice' extremely low carb days in favour of pulses!

Hi PFT, I have been trying to eat heaps of veg and also having psyllium either as metamucil or capsules. I am a bit paranoid about not being 'regular'!!

Hey @candicemarie I woke up ravenous but after I got up the hunger miraculously disappeared. I lasted easily till lunch then had a lovely salad with smoked salmon and feta and a full fat Greek yoghurt. That did me easily till tonight when I had hairy dieters sticky chicken, salad and a big pile of stirfried mushrooms and spinach.

Carb count on MFP for today is 46. Not as good as yesterday but I'm still learning. It must have been the sticky chicken that did it. There are some leftover chocolate mini egg brownies calling to me too. I must be strong.

When we speak of 'low carb' what constitutes low? I can see that everyone seems to have differing amounts. Thanks x

@Wendy Darling I used to aim for 20g when doing Atkins, that's all the info I can offer you at the moment. And no my pee smells the same (of not a lot ) as I am Well hydrated.
Except when I have asparagus.

I think 20g is VERY low, fine occasionally but I would have difficulty sustaining this on a daily basis. I think Caroline once said anything under 100-150g per day was classed as low but I could be very wrong about that. I try to keep to under 100 most days but hey, life is for living and sometimes a girl just has to have 101g of carbs or cry

Ballerina x
