Re: New! Insomniacs tent...

Good evening from the US. Can't sleep and thought I would check in. Ticked at myself as I ate about 12 cookies this evening. Ridiculous!

Hi Linda. The cookies you ate must surely be weather related. How is it there? Trust you are safe?

Colder than a well diggers butt, and expecting 10 inches of snow on Sunday. FitBit is crying for a walk, so ideally I burn the cookie calories off shoveling snow.

Would still like some of Gillmarys bread though since it is wheat free! Although I know the answer is eat protein. Craving one of those steaks you eat each week:)

Yes that bread looks amazing. Did you check out the link? Beautiful blog. Now stay warm. Sounds like you could do with @ballerinas heated throw.

Oh my. I think I have all the ingredients except for chia seeds. Suggestion for a substitution?

I really do feel ill now from those blasted cookies!

I guess you could always add more flax but since it has enough binding agent, soaked whole buckwheat might be nice to add to the texture. Could quite eat a piece of that toasted right now.

At least the cookies might make you sleepy....

Long day in the office fasting, and wishing I would go to bed, but only 4.40pm! Hanging out for 5pm and a protein shake!!
Got the weather your way or are you a bit too south?

Oo yes. Fortnums. Not the ice cream parlour but the deli in the basement .......... I think I would do the RA before though, so I can linger in Fortnums. Thanks for the prompt :like:

@rawkaren. - Probably too late now - but you could try wonderful deli/ coffee shop on Beak Street called Fernandez and Wells - it's tiny just a typical Soho shop size and not cheap, but everything made from scratch and perfect! Good on a Sunday morning with the papers. They have a much bigger branch in the Somerset House courtyard, next to the Courtauld galleries. It's now my go-to place when I'm in town.

Blimey, I go to sleep and when I wake up, find so much to read here!
I finished my accounts yesterday and the boredom of doing them and the relief when they were finished guaranteed a good night's sleep!
Hope everyone round New York is safe and warm and those on our south coast, likewise.

I thought that looking after my grandsons for 11 hours yesterday would have ensured I dropped off to sleep as soon as my head hit the pillow last night but for some reason I lay there wide awake for hours, must have been 'over tired' as my gran used to say. Know where to come next time now to join all you insomniacs. Great thread!
