Thank you for your kind words, Ballerina; always happy to oblige!

I will ruminate whilst I am ruminating today. My problem, unlike your good self, is that I have absolutely NO imagination, I can only write about what I see or have experienced, ask me to make up a story and I just go blank!!!!! But I will try even though it will boring by comparison to your wonderful prose, See you later,

Somewhere bloomin' hot!

"What do you mean, you do not serve alcohol?" she demanded of the waiter.
"I am so sorry madam, but we do not serve alcohol" he replied with sort of reigned yet vaguely smug look which always seemed to overtake his facial expressions when confronted with attractive blonde accountants from far far away lands.
"Oh, I don't understand" she said, @Pennyforthem requested that our scary story tonight was set somewhere hot and @Merlin requested that it was set somewhere dry. Something has gone seriously wrong...
"No Madam" he said, nothing has gone wrong, you all have what you wished for. In meteorological and alcoholic terms this is your chosen heaven. Unfortunately, this place has always been associated with warmth of the extreme variety and we have found over the years that it does not go well with alcohol, miscreants tend to get a bit light headed on the combination, they start enjoying themselves, want to have parties, invite virtual friends round for a snorter or three, so, we desist. Hence, Hell a dry state"
"You are joking!" she almost spat at him unable to believe what she had just heard......
"No madam, I never joke, I do not possess a sense of humour but if I did, it would be, how shall I put it....ah, yes....it would be of the dry variety!"
"You really are joking now, aren't you?' she laughed
"Unlike your good self Madam, I have never laughed in my life"
"So how can I escape from this dry, dry, dry land and get back to some sort of normality?'
Well. Madam you can either wake up from this most 'Hellish' of nightmares ....or you can............

... think.... er, laterally."
"Creatively," she mused, "yes, that might work."
The waiter's black eyes glinted, as his moustache drooped.
"We do not do creative, here, Madame" he informed her seriously, "we do not encourage that sort of behaviour. We encounter too many reprobates."
"Can I have just one wish?" asked the pretty blond lady from far away lands, with a conspiratorial smile.
The moustache wiggled. "It is highly irregular, but as long as you do not request any alcoholic beverage, you may."
"I would like to become a ghost for one night," she breathed huskily.
The waiter's eyes bulged with excitement.
"A ghost? We can arrange that, Madame. Where is your favoured haunting grounds?"
"The insomniacs' tent!" she said decisively.
She felt a hot, dry draft of air lift her gently....

........."WOW, she thought, so, this is what it feels like to be blown away, this is different.................as she landed with an unladylike thud outside the entrance to the fabled Insomniacs tent, it did occur to her that the night sentry @Debs was nowhere to be seen..............the bored, beautiful blonde accountant from far far away land pondered what had changed since she was last here...............something was wrong, but what?...................

Just then, a waft of sauvignon blanc was blown towards them on the breeze, could it be...? Was it......? Yes, the night sentry appeared, somewhat the worse for wear having last been seen slumping down behind a jeraboam of Tasmania's finset vinatge, and now had sobered herself up enough to mutter 'Halt, who goes there?' The blonde bored accountant from the far away land suddenly felt that she had met a kindred spirit, in more ways than one......

... And the half-cut night sentry did a double take, rubbed her eyes and stared ... Was it a mirage? No! it was her own doppelganger ... - but wait! This version of herself was younger, plumper, less toned ... But still drunk!

So, the night sentry suddenly realised she was looking at the Ghost of Diets Past. She was relieved to note that her doppelganger hadn't attempted a Dryathon, Fastuary, or any other such period of sustained Mental pain.
Realising she may have found her ideal drinking partner, she offered over the half empty jeraboam, well more rolled it over, as it really was too big to pass around, but the beautiful, bored, blonde accountant, had another trick up her sleeve, a methusalah of sparkling shiraz, and asked......'Can you get a good curry around here?
