................after finding a lovely Vietnamese restaurant, all the Chinese ones had closed to celebrate New Year, the beautiful blonde yet bored ghost and her slightly smaller, less svelte doppelgänger wafted back to the insomniac's tent, in a rather fetching, ethereal sort of way ...................a frightening scene awaited them.........scattered everywhere were sleeping bags and everyone had a ghost in it! asleep......."why are they all here" .......asked the slightly less svelte doppelgänger , ............"and what do they want from us?"............."it's your fault, telling everyone we have a bottle of wine so blooming big that I can't even spell it, something about an old bloke, and now look, we are surrounded by thirsty ghosts........I know what we can do"......................

Before she could share her ideas, the ghosts started to stir within their sleeping bags. The smell of stale sauv from the her breath was circulating in the air and causing them to wake. The ghosts stood upright inside their bags, and stood quite still all staring at her now disheveled appearance.

"where's the wine" ghost Penny boomed. "mine's a red". The blonde was terrified, then a ghostly Ballerina stepped outside her bag, did a grand jete across the room and landed right in front of the blonde and screamed "...................

........"Why did you leave us? You abandoned us, foreign ghosts were calling you like sirens in the fog and luring, yes, LURING you away from us with offers of riches, fancy wine drinking beyond your wildest hangovers and pigs in blankets, whatever they are and something called Candy...................Why, our beautiful blonde accountant, did you get bored with Yorkshire puddings and fruit crumble with custard, cream and ice cream all washed down with a pint of best bitter?...............The blonde accountant had a bored yet strangely far away look on her beauteous visage when she turned to her spurned companions and said...............

See you in a bit, off for a trawl around,

Oh nothing really, just a bit of handbags at dawn, done with it now, can't be bothered. Anyway, how are things with you. I can't sleep, AGAIN as you are probably aware, fed up with the weather, rain, rain and yet again rain. Boring as whatever. Are you enjoying the sunshine, I quite envy you. Are you enjoying the job, must be a big change for you and such an upheaval to move so far away from your husband. Is this a contract or a full time appointment? Do you have many staff and is commuting in America easier or harder than in the UK. 20 questions or what? Sorry, just interested, OK nosy

Yup, still skyping. Will go on line in a couple of hours as OH gets up early. I also try to speak to him around lunchtime too.

I'm just watching Graham Norton on BBC iplayer. I took out a VPN subscription for $10 a month which means I can now download UK tv. I'm still working with a mobile hotspot so I download all the progs I want to watch when I go into the office and then watch them at night. I'm still only watching via ipad, but using a jambox speaker, so I'm pretty well sorted, but can't wait to get my telly and proper internet connection.

BTW, on wine, if you like sauv, have you tried Gruner Veltliner? It's Austrian and one of my Austrian gay friends put me onto it. Don't laugh - its moved on since the days of Black Tower! @ballerina you can get it in Waitrose.
