Oh nice! I expect a blog if you find some nice food, does that mean you are fasting today?

No. I was supposed to be, but got a bit fed up this afternoon and I remembered I had bought some fish and didn't want to leave it. So I have had a light day, but not a fast.

Yes, one of the MOOCs that coffeetime told us about. It is a 7 week course. I have always thought I should know something about philosophy. Now is my chance while I am not busy! I studied ancient history at uni and am starting one on Alexander the Great this week too!

Hi, @Rawkaren - I'm awake, but of course it is only 9:40pm. Off to bed soon as we have an early start in the morning - to San Diego to see some Davis Cup tennis if possible. Weather supposed to be a bit grey and chilly unfortunately, then rain on Sunday night/Monday.

Enjoy your day in San Fran - its one of my favourite cities.

Night, night :sleepy:

There was a rather magnificent exhibition on about Alexander the Great in Sydney at beginning of 2013 which I got too. He has rather influenced the world and sadly sacked Ephesus which was a most magnificent city. You will find hi very interesting @Debs

Morning all!

Haven't been on here for a while, but I've been awake since before 6!

So I came down for a cup of cocoa - and I've just spent the last hour writing about bread here:

http://local.mumsnet.com/Talk/local_leicestershire/a1976127-This-is-the-Bread-Thread

As you can see, the thread is about creating the Mumsnet loaf. But we've got sort of side-tracked into soda bread.

Gonna try and go back to sleep now. Be nice to dream of a flock of galahs - spent 12 years down under and loved the place!

Hope everyone else can get some shuteye!

Nice to catch up, though!

Sorry for a non appearance last night. I have a very bad cough, I always have a bad cough by the way, but with a sore throat and runny nose, anyway, due lack of sleep and now very sore chesticles from all the coughing etc I took a codeine phosphate which inhibits coughing and makes you sleepy! wow! wonder of wonders! I actually had a good nights sleep, it was heavenly and I feel SO much better for it. It meant I was asleep whilst WWlll was taking place somewhere else in our cyber world but that was probably a good thing, means I've not been banned......yet!
Have a wonderful day everyone and see you all later,

I will be starting a diploma course soon. A Diploma in Carpentry Studies. It hasn't got any hands on parts, just studying carpentry through the ages and modern applications.

Just popped in to make sure you are all tucked up nicely and sleeping. Looks like you are. Quiet here too. Everyone is watching the superbowl. I'm listening to Johnnie Walker's Sounds of the 70's on iplayer catchup.

Awake and got superbowl on,wondering who of our fasting friends are watching it on tv or are even there...
Tired but not sleepy..feeling a bit full up and reflecting that these days i much prefer feeling a little hungry rather than pogged.
@rawkaren do you remember, but no youre not old enough...when Johnny Walker was on Radio Caroline he used to do " The Kiss in the Car" spot at 11 pm each night and would always play Let Me Wrap You in My Warm and Tender Love by Percy Sledge...what a fab song that was..

Here it is if anyone wants to listen...
