Hey there, not a good time to be awake is it? I was awake at 4am, supposed to get up to go to the gym but ended up watching live football in bed instead. Guess I was at least thinking about exercise?!

I know. Apparently we sleep in 90 min blocks so no point in trying to go back to sleep now. Going to get up and shower, wash my hair and get ready

Hi @rawkaren and @Debs - sorry to miss you both - I was actually awake at 4.30 lay awake until 5.30 when decided to make a cup of tea and here I am. Nose red and rosacea kicking in, probably due to all the job change stuff, remortgage etc, just what I need - children's literature conference in Newcastle today, and out meeting friends on Saturday

Oh no, poor you, I get the snivels when I am a bit stressed too, sore throat at the moment. We all need to lok after ourselves and give each other virtual hugs, as real ones aren't available all the time!
Tea is the universal panacaea!

Haha Debs yes agree there - just had a large cup. Also decided to go online and request repeat prescription. I only do this about once every 6 months or so, but the spots have been around a couple of weeks and it's getting me down. Every little thing that helps to make life a bit more comfortable and tolerable helps when we are under the cosh. Including tea, cake - and chocolate! Good job my consultant from years ago (a professor no less) told me that chocolate wasn't implicated in making things worse ...

I did get presented with a lovely plant and pot for my patio yesterday by my now former colleagues - along with a bottle of peach bellini  so now just need the nice weather so I can sit out in my newly revamped back yard ...

My cure has been eating my body weight in full English breakfast courtesy of East Midlands trains. Well I have been awake since 2am so it feels like lunch already    Jolly nice it was too. Beats East Coast rail hands down. Even the wifi works

Awe, to all you long distance huggers, hope you have a good day.
I have hot chipotle jam already 'on the go' and will be making Apricot and Ginger and some Roasted garlic chutney when I've finished my coffee.
Good job I haven't got a high powered job like you lot!

I am a bit late for a reply in this tent! @PenyForthembut the dogs are both fine if you discount the old one's arthritis. OH has just announced he wants another one though! Unfortunately he is serious-I think 2is enough , however I think I might lose this argument!

We have had 3 before-I'm holding out for a smallish one as If I do[and I will] end up with 3 I can hold them if they have to be on a lead.
